Daphne woke up in the morning feeling asr tired as she was yesterday.
"It's getting harder to sleep during thunderstorms" she thought, her gaze drifting mindlessly towards the floor to ceiling windows of her bedroom .
It was cloudy outside with even a little noticable fog. Unable to control her longing for this natural humid weather, Daphne found herself walking mindlessly towards the windows dragging a sheet from her bedding.
She had already unlocked them when she regained control of herself and stopped.
She could feel the urge crawling underneath her skin, begging to be attended to.
Her pupils dilated as she struggled to hold back .
"Just once can't hurt " she thought
"No one's watching."
Yes , It was still early in the morning and barely anyone was awake. Even if they were, it was too foggy to see anything anyways.
With these thoughts in her mind Daphne pulled open the windows and stretched out her arms to feel the vapor in the air.
It felt surreal. She stepped out onto the balcony as it started drizzling lightly.
She sat on the floor of the balcony shut her eyes and let the rain pour on her skin and hair .
She could feel that weird sensation on her skin again but she ignored it and kept her eyes closed.
After hours of drizzling the rain finally stopped falling and she opened her eyes and stared at the sky for a while.
Then she went inside just before the dog started clearing up to avoid being seen. She locked her windows and rushed into the bathroom.
She leaned on the back of the door weighing the consequences of what she had just done silently in her head.
Her eyes met the mirror in front of her and she stared at her reflection for a long time. Her gaze drifted from her eyes, to her skin, to her ginger hair that now looked snowy white. She looked down and her hands and fingers, looking closely at her nails and let out a sigh.
"Noone saw me "she said to herself
"I just hope the side effects don't last long " She thought to herself.
The she proceeded to dry herself off and dress up .
Soon enough the butler came in
"Breakfast is ready in the dining room " he said and walked out of the room.
Daphne got up groggily and made her way downstairs.
Asher and Dale were already seated in silence and payed her no heed, so she decided to extend a greeting for courtesy.
"I mean that was the least she could do right ?" She thought
"Good morning"she said plainly
The both responded my nodding their heads not even sparing her a glance.
"Rude!"she thought
"I don't care anyways, As long as they don't get all up in my business I should be fine "
She decided to dig into her meal so she picked but before she could pick up a piece of her eggs a lady came into the dining room.
She quietly dropped her cutlery and waited for the woman to take her seat so they could start their meal.
She watched the woman seriously, She seemed to be a high class lady she looked like she was about the age as Dale.
"Could she be reason for their gloomy mood today ?"
"Was she a guest ?or her governess perhaps ?"
She definitely didn't want to have a governess especially not one that looked cranky. She winced slightly at the thought, then straightened up so as not to attract attention to herself.
While her thoughts were still racing the lady had walked all the way to were Dale was seated.
"Good morning Everyone, Have you been waiting for me ? " She said in a cheery voice with a cheeky grin on her face.
Then she put her arms around Dale and kissed his forehead and took her seat at the table finally.
"You know you don't need to get so dressed up for a regular breakfast" Dale said finally settling into a good mood. Successfully bribed by a simple kiss on the head.
