Chapter 43 - whisper...

Upon waking up, Shyam left his inn room and freshened up while waiting for Ravina to wake up. After just a few moments, Ravina and Shyam left the inn room to explore this new city and to visit this city's adventurer's guild.

"This city looks bigger now that it's morning!" Ravina said as she excitedly moved her eyeballs anywhere, as if they shouldn't be rested today.

"It is," Shyam replied. "We should start doing quests again as we don't have much money left," Shyam said as he scanned through the streets they walked upon. There were stalls and shops with items on sale—from food to basic weapons to even magic items such as storage rings.

Wait, storage rings?! After noticing a few storage rings on the racks of those shops, Shyam immediately started to notice about one out of fifty people with a basic storage ring. Which meant, either it was cheaper here or even common people were richer than the riches in Taralaya. No one other than the mayor of Taralaya had a storage ring.

Shyam opened his system shop just as he saw them with the ring and immediately sobbed internally. Only 30 gold coins! He shouted inside his head. He could have saved over fifty gold coins if only he bought the ring here in Vyomsetu.

Should I buy the medium ring?[1] he murmured as he stared at his system shop and walked unknowingly beside Ravina.

"What?" Ravina asked as she heard him just faintly.

"Nothing, let's go," Shyam said as he stopped inside the adventurer's guild. The guild was just a little larger than the one in Taralaya, yet it had more fighters.

No one above tier three. But there were many fighters that were at the peak of tier two. If given just a little more time and the right manual, they would surpass this level and become a Draconic Ascent fighter—the level where if people have any hidden powers or bloodline in them, they would have a small chance to activate.

Upon landing his feet onto the land of the adventurer's guild, Shyam felt a strange cold energy leave the guild. Though he ignored it as there were many Hydra path fighters here. But even so, that energy was far greater than any Hydra path fighter he had encountered so far. Not that he did any, lol.

"Did you feel it?" Raitha whispered. She was following Shyam from morning as if she was a stalker, but she couldn't leave him either. That was one of the many rules of the system—to never leave or be separated far without a solid reason.

"Feel what?" Shyam whispered back as he looked through the interior of the guild. It was designed so beautifully. He could feel a warm feeling in him. It made him feel comfortable and relaxed, as if he could rest assured that no evil could harm him here in the guild. Was this the effect of a formation as well? If it is a formation, maybe I can learn to use formations as well! The thought crossed his mind as he walked towards the quest board.

"The feeling of rage!" Raitha said.

"Huh, you mean the calm cold energy that just left the guild?" Shyam asked.

"Yeah."

"I didn't feel any rage out of it, though."

"Never mind then..."

There were many quests hanging onto the quest board, some to defeat monsters and some to collect certain items, while some even were for house jobs. Suddenly Shyam's eyes landed on a quest. It was to exterminate a group of monsters along with an ogre boss. Rewards were extremely high—nine gold coins.

"Should we do that one?" Shyam asked as he pointed his finger towards the quest.

"...Sure," she replied.

After that, they left the guild and then the borders of Vyomsetu. The quest area wasn't far from the city if they rode the Blue Eagle. In just half an hour, they reached there.

Black, pitch black. The inside of the cave seemed endless when suddenly—

[Ogre minion / count - 43 / level - 25-32]

[Ogre boss / count - 1 / Earthly Boss Tier - 1 Level 60]

"Should we step inside?" Ravina asked.

"Sure, let's go," Shyam replied, and they both went inside. Though dark from outside, the inside was greatly lit. As if even without light he could see nearly everything. Was this the effect of being a tier two fighter as well?

"Love Technique: Sense of Feeling!" Ravina whispered as she made a T pose with her hands. Suddenly, a soft pink ray of light left her body from all directions, kind of like Shyam's Verdant Vision but a different color.

"There!" she whispered as she gripped her sword and ran towards a direction even deeper.

"Hey, wait!" Shyam shout as he followed her. Whatever she used, she sure knew where the monsters were, because they were running towards the monsters Shyam's greater sense had sensed.

Suddenly, swing! An ogre attacked from behind, but Shyam's quick reflexes saved them both.

"Look out, will ya," he said.

"Yeah, thanks," she said as she swung her sword as well.

Should I use the grimoire spells now? thought Shyam as he slashed through another ogre. Ogres of this level were next to nothing for both of them in their current levels. And since monsters rarely team up, they had an advantage over them.

"Okay, I think this is the last one," after over one hour of fighting, Ravina quietly whispered as she took deep breaths and stood above one of the ogres.

"No, I think there is one last," Shyam said as he extracted the ES from the ogre.

"Another? I don't sense anymore..." Ravina said as she swallowed a pill.

"Are you sick or something?" Shyam asked, staring at Ravina as if he stared at her soul, not her.

"Sick? Why would you think that?"

"Well, you keep taking pills before and after every fight, so..."

He wasn't wrong, she did take pills when they were done killing the Blue Eagle and many times during their quest hunts. Even now, she ate one.

"...Oh no. It's not because I am sick. I am just eating some basic low-level healing pills."

"Basic low-level healing pills?" Shyam asked curiously. If such items existed, why had he not known it? Though now that he thought of it, he healed up after the battle with the ogre boss pretty quickly, which normally would take months to heal.

Before now he thought maybe he was just built different, but if such pills did exist then maybe he isn't so strong after all. Don't doubt yourself, idiot! he thought as he slapped his cheeks.

"Yes. There exist many pills to help people. Healing pills are one of them. Though not as powerful, they are still one of the top demanded as they heal fighters fast! Normal people can't use them though," Ravina explained as she took out a whole glass bottle of pills.

Shyam tried to use his Verdant Vision on it but was unable to see exactly which herbs were used.

Suddenly, before either of them could speak a word more, the ground shook as if an earthquake had approached them.

"Well, it seems there is another left, eh."

Ravina muttered as she put the bottle back.

"Told ya," Shyam replied as they both stood side by side, facing towards the ogre boss.
