Chapter 152: Awakening of Blades and Dragons

The sun had barely risen over Silent Sword Valley, but the air was already thick with tension.

Shen stood at the center of the valley, his new demonic sword gripped firmly. Its edge shimmered with black and crimson energy, pulsing with the engraving inside him. The metal seemed alive, resonating with the slightest movements of his body.

He exhaled and moved.

The strike was deliberate, slicing through the empty air. Where the blade passed, reality itself seemed to shiver. The ground beneath him cracked lightly, marking the path of destruction.

The valley responded.

A tremor ran along the cliffs, and from the distant peaks, faint shadows stirred. Dragons—awakened by the surge of divine and demonic energy—shifted in their sleep. Scales cracked, wings flexed, and eyes slowly opened, glowing with faint, dangerous light.

Shen's eyes flicked upward.

"Not yet," he murmured.

"This is only the test."

He spun, striking again. Each movement was precise, flowing, a combination of godly power and demonic intent. The air around him hissed, and dust rose from the valley floor. He leapt and struck mid-air, the blade tracing arcs of pure energy, and the valley itself seemed to mark every strike.

Sael watched intently, gripping his own newly forged sword.

"This is my moment," he muttered under his breath.

The dragons' movements became restless. Shadows shifted among the cliffs, wings slicing through the wind. They were drawn to the forging energy, sensing both the strength and intent behind the blades.

Shen landed lightly, then turned toward Sael.

"Your turn," he said calmly.

Sael took a deep breath, centering his qi. His Pure Eye flared as he raised his sword, its edge glowing faintly with latent energy. Then he stepped forward.

The first strike was a Void Slash—a swift, horizontal cut that bent space slightly along its path. Air whistled and stones were sliced cleanly in two.

Sael didn't stop. He spun, launching a Rising Star Thrust—a vertical lunge that sent shards of rock scattering into the air. His movements were fluid, precise, a full display of his cultivation and newly forged weapon.

Shen nodded slightly, impressed.

"Well done," he said. "Control and precision. But feel the resonance—your sword is alive too. Let it flow with you, not against you."

Sael's next movements became faster, sharper. His sword danced in arcs, and even in the silence of the valley, the strikes hummed with deadly intent.

Above them, the dragons stirred fully.

One massive shadow broke free from the cliffs—a dragon, scales blackened and wings enormous, its roar echoing through the valley. The ground trembled beneath its weight.

Shen's eyes narrowed.

"They are responding," Lare said, drifting beside him. "The energy of creation and combat… awakened their senses. They've felt the forging of new power."

The dragon descended slowly, measuring, testing. Its massive claws scraped the stone.

Shen lifted his demonic sword.

"This valley will witness your first true battle," he said, voice calm, deadly.

Sael stood beside him, sword ready, eyes glowing.

The dragons were awakening.

The Silent Sword Valley would no longer remain silent.
