"My head hurts like hell," Bael stammered over to Shin and Satel, fighting to balance himself on the rocking boat.
"Shin, how is she?" he called,holding his throbbing head.
Shin didn't respond. Bael reached them and bent over. When he turned Shin over he froze as he stared at his tear filled almost lifeless eyes.
Bael tried to take Satel but he couldn't. Shin had tightened his grip on her so much that Bael feared they'd tear her in two if he pulled any harder.
Great guess I'm on my own for now.
Bael stood up and tipped his head over the side of the boat, trying to look for any glimpse of the Azure creature.
It's even now when we have a massive uninvited guest with us.
He lifted his head back as the boat returned to it's calm state. No sound came from the forest around them. Not a chirp, not a squeal nor a squeak. As if the forest had suddenly held its breath, only the splashing of the water on the boat remained.
Bael paused for a moment to take in the eerie calm.
"Hey captain could you spe—," he stopped, his eyes darting to a few meters infront of the boat.
Almost instinctively, Bael summoned the eagle vision of his aviary familiar onto his own eyes allowing him to zoom in on the creature that blocked their path.
The Azure lightning crocodile had finally surfaced to reveal its jagged mountain peak like spiked back, it's incredibly dense looking Armour plates on its snout and limbs. Its body spanned for at least sixty five meters long and five meters wide.
The creature stared back at Bael as he peered into its soul to reveal an emerald green hue. It is an evolved Azure lightning crocodile.
Just as Bael tried to turn and head for his blade, his body tensed up froze. He felt his hairs stand on end as if they were being forcefully pulled out of his skin.
The sky suddenly dimmed to a Grimm darkness. Thunder crackled above like a deafening drum. Bael raised his head and stared into the sky filled with dark thunder stormclouds.
'Bael! Snap out of it!' a familiar voice called out within Bael's mind snapping back to reality.
Shit. no time. gotta move.
"Everyone! Get to cover!"
Just as those left Bael's mouth, the world went silent. A blue light illuminated the sky and the forest, spanning for a few dozen miles.
In an instant, a flurry of lightning bolts descended upon the forest like a rain of arrows. Everything in sight became engulfed in a haze of blue fury as the storm of lightning began to ravage everything within it.
