Shin, Satel, the elder and Bael teleport right outside Honsha village.
Shin keeps his head down as the other three continue chatting. He still hears the demon God's words ringing in his head.
"Don't turn out like me."
What the heck does he mean. I'll think about it after I get some rest, those illusions he showed me drained the life out of me.
Still facing down he bumps into something. He looks up to see that it is the elder. Before he could say anything he feels something.
A thick blanket of malice hung over the air.
"What in the black happened here?" the chief blurted out as he walked forward.
This cleared Shin's view and he was finally able to see what they were seeing. His mouth opened wide.
He couldn't believe the sight before him. Bodies upon bodies lay everywhere. Blood turning the ground into a void of darkness.
The buildings slashed in two. Cleanly slashed in two.
He looked down and raised his leg, the blood clung to it like glue as it slowly dripped back down.
Shin heard a loud thud right near him. He glanced to see Satel collapsed onto the ground with tears in her eyes.
Shin turns to Bael but stops. He stares into Bael's eyes. They were cold and distant yet filled with so much rage and malice it physically made Shin want to puke.
He quickly glanced back to the elder and saw him leaning over a slashed up corpse.
I do not need this right now.
Shin turned back to Satel and helped her back to her feet though she was almost the same as a lifeless doll.
Her movements had no life or intention behind them, as if she was in a trance.
"Bael! Snap out of it and hold Satel," Shin barked.
Bael shot back and looked at him, then at Satel and went over and carried her on his back.
"Oh there you are, I was wondering why I couldn't find you," a voice spoke out.
Everyone's eyes immediately shot to the direction of the voice and there she was, Ezra.
Her clothing black and wet, grinning from ear to ear as the elder stood up.
"What's the matter? Oh them, no need to mourn them. They had it coming for not releasing me when I asked," Ezra giggled.
She brandished her axe and swung at Bael, Shin and Satel. Before Shin could jump in front of them the elder stepped up and backhanded slapped the slash away.
Bael put Satel down and made her stand on her own. Shin shot him a glance and before they could step up the elder raised his hand.
They both stopped in their tracks.
"Both of you stand back and protect my daughter, as the chief this is my fight," The elder said dropping his hand.
Satel snaps back to reality as she turns and meets Shin's eye but quickly looks away and sees her father.
She clenches her arms around herself tight as tears stream down her face.
"Fuck," she murmured to herself.
The elder then turn his attention back to Ezra.
"You are the worst chief ever for leaving your village unguarded from someone as strong as me," Ezra boasted.
The elder shifted uncomfortably, readjusting himself.
Ezra continued, "you should have been there to hear their cries for you. They were just, delicious."
