"Wind Blade Origin Slash."
Ronen murmured, and the circular blade in his hand transformed into a disc of wind. The wind blade shimmered with a razor-sharp brilliance as it spun rapidly, hovering around him under his control.
"To stir the world with minimal magic and trigger supernatural phenomena… Attribute magic actually consumes less mana?"
Ronen muttered to himself, "I've just discovered another reason no one studies the basic concept of magical bullets."
This was a recent realization.
Compared to raw mana blades, magic infused with an elemental attribute not only had greater power but also consumed significantly less mana.
"People in this world don't really have a concept of 'mana control'. Even among magical races, they mostly improve by slowly practicing innate magic," he noted.
Meteria beamed, "Ronen, you've developed a whole new magical concept!"
Though the Wind-Attribute Vacuum Blade was stronger and more efficient, raw mana blades still had their place—they were the best tools for training mana control.
Innate magic could never reach the power level of a spell like the Vacuum Blade, meaning that in just a few days, Ronen had already surpassed what the world considered "standard" innate magic.
It said a lot about how underdeveloped magic truly was here.
As for learned (or acquired) magic, Ronen's Vacuum Blade rivaled spells that required brief incantations—already putting it well above innate magic.
Take Bell's magic for example: setting aside any charging enhancements, it might not even be as practical as Ronen's Vacuum Blade. And this spell of mine? It wasn't even a single spell—it was a series.
Even a slight change in the form of a spell meant it would require another magic slot—a different spell altogether. So Ronen asked:
"If we only look at magic capability, what level of combat power do I have now?"
Meteria thought for a moment and replied, "Roughly on par with a Level 1 adventurer at max potential."
"But my sister's sound magic has more explosive force than the Vacuum Blade," she added.
"I see…" Ronen reflected.
In the adventurer system, Level 1 is considered the peak of normal humans, while Level 2 and above are "superhuman."
There's a massive gap between these tiers. Likewise, there's a massive gap between a Level 1 adventurer and ordinary civilians.
By that normal standard, Ronen had already reached the human limit. Of course, Level 2 adventurers would outmatch him in strength and speed, and that was expected.
But Alfia's sound magic had such an overwhelming force that even a new adventurer could slam a Level 2 into the wall. No wonder she was feared and dubbed "Monster among Talented."
"Now that the Vacuum Blade is complete… what's next for mana control training?"
To improve the quality of mana, the best method is a cycle of depletion and recovery—continuously casting spells.
That way, mana control and mana growth can happen at the same time.
And improved mana control had already begun to show its benefits—it boosted efficiency in learning innate magic, raised personal ceilings, and helped one create new magic.
With Vacuum Blade training complete, Ronen needed a new method to refine control.
He immediately thought of two techniques from Naruto—Chakra Tree Climbing and Water Walking.
Recreating Rasengan was too risky right now. Each test consumed a ton of mana and had a high chance of causing a mana backlash.
So he decided to start with tree climbing and water walking. Given the nature of mana in this world, they could be replicated.
By manipulating mana through his limbs, he could create both attraction and repulsion forces—mimicking the techniques from Naruto.
Using simple chant-based guidance, he quickly made progress.
He placed his palms on a wall.
"First, attraction."
By altering the properties of mana, his palms emitted strong suction.
He lifted off the ground, then carefully applied mana to his feet, sticking to the wall in a strange pose.
"This pose though…"
Meteria, watching, blushed slightly.
"And What might you be thinking?" Ronen teased her with a sideways glance.
His mana control had improved significantly, and within moments he was hanging vertically from the wall.
However, due to gravity and lacking core strength, he looked a lot less graceful than a ninja.
"I'm thinking… of something fun," Meteria answered seriously—then giggled.
"Then you'd better heal up quickly. Once you can wall-walk too, we can do something really fun."
Ronen chuckled as well.
He adjusted the attraction into a repulsion force, allowing himself to dash up the wall. With quick mana bursts alternating between contact points, he soon got the hang of it.
Water walking, due to the lack of environment, was tested using a basin. He quickly learned the precise amount of force needed.
In just three hours, he mastered both techniques, and his mana reserves were almost depleted.
Compared to right after his "ritual" with Meteria, his mana had more than doubled.
This was the fruit of relentless day-and-night training.
But now… after three days
"What next? Rasengan?"
With that in mind, Ronen began practicing the Rasengan-style mana spell for past days.
And he succeeded.
Not just the spinning, uncontrolled sphere of raw mana—but also the Wind Rasengan, its advanced form.
He even tried to replicate the Rasenshuriken, but that one needed far more mana than he currently possessed.
It was his limit for now.
With all that achieved, Ronen began pondering other uses of mana.
"Now for Teleportation spell…."
Then remember a technique came from Naruto, and its concept was similar to water walking—it involved channeling a surge of Chakra into the feet, but in an explosive burst rather than continuous output.
That, too, proved doable. The main issue was that Ronen's physical body and reflexes couldn't keep up with the sudden acceleration.
Still, he managed to master it somehow...
And after completing this step, Ronen fell into a bottleneck period.
