"Le An, please think again, no omega can develop immunity against alpha pheromones, you know that too." There was a panic in Theo's voice, a panic whose cause Le An also knew.
Theo's hands had closed over Le An's from the moment the conversation began, as if this panic had taken him hostage.
"For months, there hasn't been even a clear improvement in our pheromone practice, Theo. Maybe instead of your pheromones, I should try someone else's-"
Theo didn't even have the patience to hear such a possibility; he cut Le An off immediately. "It would be the same with someone else, nothing might change."
"But... we can't know that without trying, right? Maybe the reason I haven't been able to make progress in resisting pheromones for months is simply because I've only been exposed to yours."
