Chapter 131 - Reginas Revis

Revis was in a completely new form.

No longer was she in her human form, nor was she being controlled by the Ice Garden. Instead, this was Reginas Revis....her true ultimate form. Years of serving the Corrupted Spirit and feeding from her magic had slowly evolved her, and finally, her form was allowed to manifest.

However, she did not expect her evolution to take the shape it had. The Corrupted Spirit's obsession with Aria and Ais had created a form so unpredictable that it was insane. Because Reginas Revis was not just Revis. Instead, Reginas had the memories of both Revis and Ais. The Corrupted Spirit had copied her mind and magic to feed into Revis, doing it only just in case.

It had turned out perfectly.

What stood before them was a pure being. Reginas was different from Revis. She had a tall, thin body with pure white skin and incredibly long, flowing blonde hair. Her features greatly resembled a combination of Ais mixed with some aspects of the Corrupted Spirit itself. A long, snake-like tail attached itself to the flesh walls of the Dungeon, striped designs running along her naked body. Antler-looking horns emitted from atop her head, and a third, pulsating purple eye glowed on her forehead.

"Hello, Mother." Reginas smiled, having already defended the Corrupted Spirit's core. "You need my help?"

She turned and looked at everyone, her third eye pulsing with amusement.

"Oh ho ho... hi, everyone! Master Riveria! Ottar, slave of Freya. Oh, hi, Finn! It is good to see you have that spear on the go. When do you plan on blasting me with Tir na Nog? Soon?"

Her voice was completely unhinged, as if this was nothing more than a picnic to her.

Finn's face twisted with fury. "Who the hell are you? And how do YOU know that!"

Reginas laughed, the sound echoing across the ruined floor. "Can you not recognize me? Oh well, that is a shame... is it not, Ais?"

Damien jumped back and moved to join everyone, his eyes fixed on the creature. "Is that..."

"It is Revis," Ais said, her voice cold with anger.

"Oh! Lovely of you to recognize me, Ais! You too, darling!" Reginas blew a kiss toward Damien. "Mouah!"

The Corrupted Spirit's upper half regenerated and moved to place itself in front of her core. "Reginas. Protect my core. I will kill them ALL."

Reginas's expression shifted.

Her eyes became deadly—as if she hated the Corrupted Spirit from the deepest parts of her core. That one look intimidated everyone. Damien. Ottar. Leon. Hedin. Finn. Everyone who should have been able to handle such pressure felt it.

"Who do you think you are," Reginas said, her voice dropping to a whisper, "ordering ME?"

The Corrupted Spirit turned to face her. "YOU! I MADE YOU!"

"SO?"

Reginas's hand moved. It penetrated the core of the Corrupted Spirit—the very thing she was supposed to protect.

"You were about to die anyway," Reginas said, grinning. "So be gone."

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING! NOOO!" the Corrupted Spirit screamed.

Reginas absorbed the entire core into herself. The massive purple meat blob was instantly drained, becoming a withered husk. Then it exploded. Every single tentacle exploded with it. The demon world created by the Corrupted Spirit was completely destroyed in one instant as Reginas gained more and more magic, becoming the sole benefactor of Floor Sixty's power.

The Corrupted Spirit's upper body fell. She was cut off from her tentacles, and she crashed face-first onto the ground. She tried to get up.

"Aria... my freedom... why... why like this..."

She disintegrated. Her creations followed.

And there stood Reginas. Fully formed. Fully powered.

She smiled.

"Now then..." Her third eye pulsed. "Who do I kill first?"

...

Damien moved first.

His blade was at her neck in an instant. Reginas grinned and dodged, her body flowing like water around his strike. He followed through, slashing at her torso. She blocked with her hands—both of them flying through the air, severed at the wrists.

The cut limbs did not even touch the ground before they regenerated.

Reginas grinned and swiped her tail. The impact sent Damien flying across the entire battlefield. He crashed hard, rolling across the corrupted ground, his ribs cracking from the force. When he finally stopped, he found himself at the very edge of Floor Sixty.

She was that strong.

...

Finn attacked next.

His spear Fortia drove toward her chest, Hell Finegas already blazing. Reginas sidestepped, her hand reaching out to grab the spear mid-thrust. She held it effortlessly, her third eye pulsing with amusement.

"Oh, Finn," she cooed. "Still using the same trick?"

She twisted the spear. Finn's wrist snapped. He bit back a scream as she released him, sending him stumbling backward.

Ottar followed.

The strongest warrior in Orario moved with devastating power, his massive frame crashing into Reginas like a landslide. His blade aimed for her neck. She caught it between two fingers.

"Slave of Freya," she said, tilting her head. "So strong. So loyal. So... boring."

She flicked her wrist. Ottar flew backward, his shoulder dislocating from the force.

Leon came from the left, Mia Grande from the right. Their blades crossed, aiming to bisect her. Reginas laughed and leaped between them, her tail wrapping around Leon's ankle and her hand grabbing Mia's cleaver. She spun, using Mia's own weapon to block Leon's strike, then released both of them with a push that sent them crashing into each other.

"Next!" she called out, her voice singsong.

Hedin and the Gulliver Brothers surrounded her. Their coordinated assault had brought down monsters that had terrorized Orario for generations. Reginas yawned.

"Four little Pallums" she said. "How cute."

She ripped her own arm off and threw it at Hedin. The severed limb exploded against his guard, sending him flying. Her arm regenerated before the echo of the explosion faded. The Gulliver Brothers hesitated. Reginas used that moment to break each of their fingers, one by one, laughing as they screamed.

Ais came next.

Her golden eyes burned with fury, Desperate cutting through the air in a storm of wind and steel. Reginas's expression shifted—not to fear, but to something else. Recognition. Affection.

"There you are, sister," she whispered.

She caught Ais's blade with her bare hand. Blood dripped from her palm, but she did not flinch. Instead, she pulled Ais close, their faces inches apart.

"You fight just like me," Reginas said. "But I am stronger now."

She broke Ais's wrist. Ais gasped, stumbling back, her sword falling from her grip.

Tiona and Tione attacked together. Their blades flashed, Urga and Zolas carving toward Reginas from both sides. Reginas grabbed Tiona's ankle mid-bounce and swung her like a weapon, smashing her into her sister. Both Amazons crashed to the ground, dazed.

Riveria's spell struck.

A blast of ice magic, concentrated and powerful, slammed into Reginas's chest. Frost spread across her white skin, freezing her in place.

For a moment, everyone believed it had worked.

Then Reginas flexed. The ice shattered.

"Good one, Master Riveria," she said, brushing frost from her shoulder. "But you will need more than that."

She raised her hand and snapped her fingers. A beam of purple energy shot from her third eye, blasting the ground at Riveria's feet. The high elf leaped away, but not fast enough—the shockwave sent her tumbling across the battlefield.

Finn struggled to his feet, his broken wrist hanging limp at his side. He stared at Reginas, at the way she moved, at the power she wielded without effort.

'Level Nine' he thought. 'At least'

She was toying with them. Every opportunity to kill, she ignored. Instead, she broke a finger. Snapped a wrist. Dislocated a shoulder. Laughed as they fell.

This was not a battle. This was entertainment.

Damien returned.

His shadows had been attacking Reginas the entire time—Igris, Diana, Adonis, Baal, and the hundreds of others. They swarmed her like darkness itself, blades flashing, claws tearing. She swatted them away like flies, regenerating from every wound before the next could land.

Damien landed beside his army, his ribs screaming, his breath ragged.

Reginas looked at him and smiled.

"Oh, good. You are back." She clapped her hands together. "I was getting bored."

She raised her arms. White light gathered around her—pure, blinding, wrong.

"Let me show you something."

The light exploded outward.

When it faded, the battlefield had changed. Standing around Reginas were monsters...white-skinned, pulsing with the same corrupt light as their creator. They were natives of Floor Sixty, every one of them. Valgang Dragons. Nidhoggs. Venom Scorpions. Silver Worms. Ill Wyverns.

An army of her own.

Reginas stood at its center, her third eye blazing.

"Now," she said, grinning. "Let us begin."
