Kyros pov
I dodge the ground charge strike from the Tetsucabra as it lunges at me digging it's tusks into the grotto's floor. Swinging the mossy sledge I hit its back leg but it bounces off barely damaging the creature. It lifts up on its side and I dodge out of the way as it shuffle slams right where I was. I stow the mossy sledge, even though I have the element advantage, and take out the boko reaper and travelers shield.
I rush forward and slide digging the blade into the Tetsucabra side and launching myself into the air, classic slide slash, and slamming the shield down on its foreleg as it turns to where I was. Jumping to the side as it lunges at me, barely missing me, I slam the shield down onto the softened tail before jabbing it deeply and yanking out the blade harshly, drill slash combo. It jerks back in pain but sweeps it's body sending me flying through the air and I land harshly on the ground before it preforms a ground charge strike sending me flying again. I try to use the mini slinger to wire dash away but it clicks as the Tetsucabra barely misses me with its tusked mouth. Landing harshly again I quickly get up feeling my sides ache as I lunge myself away from the Tetsucabra.
I grab my side feeling the blood from some open wounds I just received I start booking it away from the charging beast. I find a hole that's just large enough for me to slip inside by sliding as the beast strikes the wall with its tusked jaws and bashing its head behind me as I catch my breath. I curse at the stinging pain from my aching wounds as I start chewing some Hyrule herbs and eating them.
Bam, bam, boom.
" Fucking persistent bloody toad ain't ya," I say as I look at the shaking wall behind me as my wounds start healing. I miss having Excalibur's healing factor since I can't access anything because of the worlds laws or the challenge I partaken in.
Bam, boom, craack.
Spider webs start cracking the wall and the hole I came through collapses blocking me in. ' well ain't that bloody terrific,' I think sarcastically before stopping. " Seems like my past life's Southern slang has came through," I say as shake my head and start walking further into the grotto's tunnel system. As I walk through the sulfur stenched tunnels I see several keese and even echo bats fly around the sulfur haze above my head.
" Fuck me," I say as I nearly slip and bust my ass on some moss covered ground and I do as I'm trying to balance myself. I grab my ass as I roll and slip across the ground going deeper into the grotto. I'm about to go off into this hole when I jam the boko reaper into the ground catching myself before falling into the deep hole. Looking down into the hazy darkness I whistle at the sheer depth.
Pulling myself up from the hole's edge I look around and see a hole filled with light and my curiosity got the better of me. Crawling into the hole I come across a grove of flowers that surround another hole that has a large waterfall flowing from the hazy ceiling. I look around and find a small bush that's glowing with some red lantern shaped berries. Walking towards it I collect some of the berries and it feels hot to the touch. The lantern shaped berries have a semi transparent skin that contains a flickering juice that seems like embers from a camp fire. The leaves are short and ribbed constricting the body of the berry in tight loops as it mimics Chinese lanterns. I bite into the berry, just for science, and I immediately regret it as it's like molten lava mixed with Carolina reapers as the flavoring and I cough out my lungs. My mouth red from bleeding or the forsaken juices of the berry, I don't know or care, I try getting some water and I cringe at the taste.
" Sulfur water, " I say coughing from the tastes I just experienced. Collecting the berries and leaving the room through another hole I come across another opening that leads upwards towards the surface. Smiling I start going up the sloped floor towards the surface when I'm suddenly surrounded by giant pill bugs, rolly pollies, what ever you want to call them. Their lobster like claws click at me as they roll up into a ball of brown armor and rush towards me from all directions. I raise the travelers shield and block two strikes causing them to pop up on their backs flailing around while dodging another three. The Konchu's , the little shits from monster Hunter 4 ultimate, I've knocked over flip themselves up. I get ready for some fancy blocking and dodging while all of a sudden from a ledge above me comes a gutteral roar and I just dodge as the Tetsucabra comes crashing down sending the Konchus scattering and flailing about on their backs. I rush towards the Tetsucabra loading the berries I just got into the slinger and I fire straight at the beasts eyes before jumping on its tusked mouth. It roars in pain and I'm slung up to the ledge the Tetsucabra just came from. I immediately spot a great wire bug and I grab ahold of it and I'm immediately slung straight into the air before grabbing another one to continue the journey towards a ledge . Landing somewhat better I find a old set of crumbling stairs that's carved into the ground to an old door that's half way gone. I turn around and flip off the small figure of the Tetsucabra before walking up the stairs and through the door I find myself inside a old gaurds barracks. I sigh looking at the scattered skeletons, some still drabbed in clothes bearing the symbol of Hyrule, I walk past them going up the crumbling stairs and out of the towering walls that surround the plateau. I look around and find the sheikah tower as the sun comes up over the plateau. I sigh and walk towards the tower wanting some sleep.
