Chapter 22 - Special Ep. 2 | Married Life

The villa was too quiet at least for a second. That alone should've been suspicious. I didn't even get to take a deep breath before nine voices filled the space like a storm.

"Y/n, sit next to me." Oikawa tugged my hand gently toward the couch, already smiling like I was his prize.

"No, no, no! Next to me!" Bokuto boomed, snatching my other hand, eyes gleaming like a child about to win candy.

Terushima whistled low, leaning against the armrest with his usual sly grin. "Why don't you sit on my lap instead, princess? Saves everyone the trouble."

"HEY!" Oikawa and Bokuto shouted in unison.

I rubbed my temples, "We've been married for what...three days? And you're already fighting about this?"

"Correction," Tsukishima cut in coolly from the corner, arms crossed. His glasses slid down his nose as he smirked. "They've always been like this. Marriage just made it worse."

"You're no better, Tsukki," Kuroo teased, slinging an arm around him before his gaze flicked to me, sharp and possessive. "Don't think you're escaping me tonight, kitten. You married me too, remember?"

Suna's lazy voice drifted from behind the couch, his chin resting on the cushions. "She remembers, Kuroo. She remembers all of us. Right, Y/n?" His half-lidded eyes locked on mine, dangerously calm.

I swallowed, feeling all nine stares heavy on me. "I… do."

Semi's hand brushed mine softly, grounding me. "Then don't overthink. Just… stay by us. That's all we want."

The room grew strangely still at his words until Atsumu suddenly burst in, yelling, "Y/n! Ya gotta tell me I'm yer favorite husband, c'mon!"

Osamu groaned from the kitchen doorway, holding a plate. "Shut up, 'Tsumu. Yer scarin' her off already. Here, darlin', eat before these idiots keep you busy." He offered me food like it was a vow, his tone gentler, steadier.

"Oi, don't act all domestic like yer the perfect husband!" Atsumu barked, pointing accusingly.

"Better than burnin' the rice like you," Osamu shot back without missing a beat.

Their bickering made me laugh despite myself, but it didn't last long. Suddenly, Bokuto scooped me up bridal style, spinning me around. "See?! She's laughing with me! Proof she loves me most!"

"Put her down before you drop her, idiot owl," Tsukishima deadpanned, though I noticed his jaw twitching.

"Not happening!" Bokuto grinned, holding me tighter.

Kuroo stalked closer, eyes narrowing. "You really want to test me, Bokuto?"

"Bring it, rooster-head!"

"Both of you back off," Terushima cut in, his grin sharper this time as he leaned closer to me. "Don't forget, she's my wife too."

"Yours?" Oikawa's smile dropped, venom lacing his voice. "Don't get ahead of yourself, Yuji. She's ours. Not just yours."

The air thickened nine different energies clashing, all tethered to me.

I sighed, pressing my hands against Bokuto's chest until he finally set me down. "You're all insane."

Suna tilted his head, lips curling. "And you love us for it."

My silence was apparently answer enough, because Atsumu grinned wolfishly, Oikawa smirked like he'd won, and Bokuto shouted, "HA! She admitted it...sort of!"

Kuroo leaned down, his lips brushing my ear. "Better get used to the chaos, kitten. You're married to nine disasters now."

I glanced around the room at their smiles, their scowls, their possessive gazes and couldn't stop the small laugh that escaped me.

Kuroo's smirk deepened when he heard me laugh. "See? She's already accepting it," he said, leaning back against the wall like he owned the place.

"I'm not accepting anything," I muttered, trying to step away, but Osamu immediately slid in front of me, holding a small forkful of food to my lips.

"Eat first," he said softly, his voice almost a whisper compared to the chaos. "Then you can argue with them."

Atsumu frowned, reaching for the fork, "Hey! Feedin' her's supposed to be my thing."

"It's everyone's thing apparently," Suna muttered under his breath, still draped lazily over the couch but watching me with a hawk's gaze. "You guys are embarrassing."

"Big words for someone who literally asked her to call you her favorite last night," Terushima snickered.

Suna didn't even blink. "She will. Eventually."

I exhaled sharply. "Why do you guys sound like you're plotting to divide me up like cake?"

Bokuto immediately brightened, "I'll take the biggest slice!"

"Bokuto-san," Semi finally spoke again, his tone firm but calm as his fingers brushed over mine once more, "You're scaring her."

Bokuto deflated slightly, his shoulders sagging. "I'm not scary…"

"You are when you're yelling in her face," Tsukishima said flatly, glancing at me before turning away, his jaw tight.

Oikawa suddenly leaned in, his hand brushing my cheek so softly it almost startled me. "Don't listen to them, Y/n. Just… look at me. You're with me now, ne?" His smile was sweet, but there was a glint in his eye that made my heart hammer.

Kuroo clicked his tongue. "Don't start that, Oikawa."

Terushima leaned closer too, his grin widening. "Maybe she should just sit on my lap like I said earlier. That'll solve all of this."

"No, it won't," I snapped before I could stop myself.

Nine voices immediately went quiet.

I swallowed hard, feeling the weight of their gazes. "I'm… not some toy you pass around. I'm still me."

Semi's hand squeezed mine just once. "We know."

But Kuroo's smirk returned, slower this time. "We're not passing you around, kitten. We're keeping you."

Suna's eyes curved into something unreadable. "All of us."

Bokuto's voice softened, almost like a child's, "We'll behave, Y/n. I promise."

Atsumu grumbled, crossing his arms. "Speak for yerself."

Osamu rolled his eyes and put the plate down on the coffee table. "She ain't goin' anywhere. Let her breathe."

For a heartbeat, the tension faded. The nine of them looked at me differently less like a prize, more like someone they were afraid to lose.

I sat down slowly, my heart pounding. "You guys are exhausting…"

Oikawa's lips curved in a small, satisfied smile. "But you still chose us."

And when all nine of them started moving closer again like a tide I couldn't stop I realized there was no space left between them and me.

Maybe chaos wasn't just what I'd signed up for.

Maybe chaos was already in my blood now, the same way they were.
