Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Chronos Containment Convenience

We spun through the temporal fissure like socks in a god's washing machine, bones rattling to the dissonant hum of collapsing realities. When gravity reasserted its claim, I found myself slumped before a steaming oden pot, the vinegar-sweet stench of simmering daikon cutting through the smell of ozone and decay. Fluorescent lights buzzed like angry wasps overhead. The digital clock's blood-red numerals burned into my retina: 23:47:31, December 31, 1999. Outside the grime-caked windows, millennium celebration streamers dissolved into radioactive rain, painting the streets in neon vomit.

石晶 Serenade 牙刷:随着"Guan-guan cry the ospreys..."

Trisolaran chip bags extruded chrome tentacles tipped with USB plugs that sought neural ports.

"Deep freeze! Move!" Wang pried up linoleum tiles with cracking fingernails. Beneath lay an ice-sheathed slide descending into absolute zero darkness. We plunged. Frozen breath crystallized into daggers as we read lipstick scrawled on glacial walls:『July 15, 2003They restock shelves with our corpsesNever consume the special—』

The warning vanished under fractal ice patterns. I melted the frost with panting breath. A face emerged—twenty-year-old Wang, frozen mid-scream behind the wall, left eye a shattered hole, index finger stabbing toward the ceiling like an ice pick.

We followed his rigor-mortis accusation. The vaulted ceiling glittered—thousands of Ouroboros coins mortared into a colossal chronometer, their combined mass warping gravity. Xiao Yu's quantum rose erupted in gamma-bright petals, crystallizing into vibrating ice axes that leapt to our grip.

"Riptide surge!" Wang yanked me backward. Reality peeled open where I'd stood, revealing luminous intestines of time. From the glowing wound, hundreds of small hands in Young Pioneer scarves reached with bone-breaking hunger.

Dr. Lin sketched demolition runes with Skittles on the ice. Overhead, the convenience store detonated in a supernova of boiling oden broth and molten plastic. We surfed meltwater tsunamis through the exit as shelves collapsed into chromsteel avalanches. Hazmats pursued on dino-chick cavalry, their price scanners firing crimson lasers that aged flesh to jerky on contact.

"Hot pocket!" Wang heaved a MirageWave 3000 microwave. I slammed INSTANT HEAT. The door exploded off its hinges, vomiting a blizzard of 1999 China Daily newspapers. Headlines screamed "Y2K DOOMSDAY AVERTED!" before igniting into a firewall of temporal static. Pursuers crumbled into chronological dust.

We crashed through the service exit—and slammed into the submarine's reactor chamber. But now the bulkheads wept fresh arterial blood. Cyrillic warnings streaked toward the deck plates:"БЕГИ СОЛНЦЕ ГАСНЕТ"(RUN THE SUN DIES)Дата: 3 дня до сингулярности*(T-minus 3 days to singularity)*

Xiao Yu shrieked. Her quantum rose tattoo hemorrhaged photonic sap that burned holes in her skin. My right eye detonated with triple vision:

Shang Dynasty Oracle: Raising turtle shells cracked by eclipse predictions, my robes stained with sacrificial bile.

2023 Salaryman: Snatching a falling Sanctuary Coin from subway tracks as tentacles erupted from tunnel walls.

Void-Walker: Slamming a pulsating red button in non-space, my body woven from dying star matter.

The sub's horn blasted a sound that liquefied thought. Beyond the viewport, bioluminescent Chronos-medusae pulsed through liquid darkness. Each gelatinous bell contained a dormant iteration:

Steampunk Salvagers: Bronze dive suits leaking cogwork, roses grafted into chest ports.

Neolithic Shamans: Bear-pelt cloaks, stone roses humming with captured lightning.

Singularity Proxies: Flesh interlaced with quantum circuitry, roses blooming from exposed brain stems.

The hull vibrated with the crimson girl's voice—now layered with glitching choir samples and Geiger-counter static:"Multi-temporal co-op raid initialized. Syncing respawn timers across 7,442 reality branches. Objective: Locate the Architect before final sunset."

A coin slot irised open in the reactor core. Above it, the Ouroboros winked.
