Chapter 34 - Chapter 33: A Mansion to Match His Ambitions

Ye Chen's current wealth level, LV9, required him to accumulate nearly 70 million more wealth points to rise to LV10. To obtain these wealth points, he needed to spend an equivalent amount of money. How to spend it? There were many ways. He could buy gold, jewelry, supercars, stocks, or even futures. However, Ye Chen still found himself gravitating towards real estate. Thinking about his previous purchases, Ye Chen preferred houses.

Although Ye Chen already owned an entire residential community, it wasn't what one would consider a true mansion. A real mansion, a truly opulent residence, would typically cost billions. If this had been in the past, Ye Chen could only dream about such a thing; he seriously lacked the financial strength. Now, however, Ye Chen could buy one directly if he wanted to, without even needing to think twice.

Driving along, ten minutes later, Ye Chen arrived at a well-known intermediary real estate company. As soon as he got out of his car, a saleswoman who had just stepped out of the office door hurriedly greeted him.

"Hello, sir. What can I do for you today?"

Ye Chen glanced at the saleswoman in surprise and asked,

"Do you have any listings in Yipin Community?"

The saleswoman's eyes lit up, and she hurriedly said,

"Yes, we do! Would you like me to show you?"

Ye Chen nodded and said, "Okay."

When the saleswoman heard this, she glanced at Ye Chen's Bugatti Veyron and said,

"Sir, please wait a moment. I'll go get the key."

Ye Chen nodded. The saleswoman bowed slightly and then hurried back into the company office. It didn't take long for her to come out with the key.

"Sir, I'll be riding my electric scooter, so it might be a little slow. Can you perhaps wait for me a little longer at the location?"

"Okay."

After Ye Chen finished speaking, he got into the Bugatti Veyron and drove towards the Yipin Community. He wasn't interested in giving the saleswoman a ride; although she looked good, she hadn't reached the 90-point attractiveness threshold that Ye Chen seemed to mentally benchmark, so he didn't particularly care.

Driving along, Ye Chen arrived at the front entrance of Yipin Community not long after, but unfortunately, the security guards did not let him in. The security at Yipin Community was very strict, and non-resident vehicles were not allowed to enter. Ye Chen didn't try to act coercively or throw his weight around; there was no need. Those were the rules, so why make a fuss? After waiting for about three minutes, the saleswoman arrived on her electric scooter. After checking in with the security registration, the saleswoman led the way and brought Ye Chen into the community.

The green area of Yipin Community was very large, and it was truly comfortable and pleasing at first glance. Although the saleswoman introduced many of the advantages of Yipin Community, she didn't ask Ye Chen what type of apartment he wanted to see. She only asked for Ye Chen's surname and then took him directly to a top-floor duplex. When he came to the house, Ye Chen looked around. There was no problem with the apartment type; the area was large enough, and it featured an indoor swimming pool, a study, a gymnasium, and a cloakroom. When he came to the balcony, he could see the Huangpu River and the Oriental Pearl Tower from the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. It wasn't night yet; if it were, the scenery outside would undoubtedly be even more spectacular.

"Okay, this is it. Who is the head of the household? Has he lived here before?"

As soon as Ye Chen's words came out, the saleswoman almost lost her composure. Bringing Ye Chen here first was just her strategy: start with the best and work down to the less impressive ones. This way, Ye Chen might buy the first house he saw. Who would have thought that Ye Chen wouldn't even plan to look at the latter options and would choose this set directly? If she had known that Ye Chen bought houses based on his feelings—if it felt right, he'd just buy it—she wouldn't know how she should feel.

After regaining her senses, the saleswoman hurriedly said,

"Mr. Ye, the head of the household is a foreigner. He usually comes to Magic City two or three times a year, staying for three or five days each time."

Hearing this, Ye Chen glanced at the decoration in the house. It was still brand new and felt okay; there was no need to redecorate it.

"That's it then. Contact the head of the household and ask him to come to Magic City as soon as possible."

When the saleswoman heard this, her heart suddenly jumped. A strong sense of excitement followed.

"Mr. Ye, this... the price of this house is 380 million..."

The saleswoman's voice was a little strained. Ye Chen knew this was caused by emotional tension, blood rushing to her throat, and the pressure of the situation. He had experienced this feeling himself during his first job interview. After a slight smile, Ye Chen said,

"Full payment."

"Ah?"

The saleswoman exclaimed involuntarily. Full payment? This was a 380 million yuan mansion, and he was paying the full amount?

"Heavens, I... I've hosted a super rich second-generation heir!"

Thinking of this, the saleswoman hurriedly said,

"Mr. Ye, I... I'll contact the head of the household right away..."

Ye Chen nodded. When the saleswoman saw this, she hurriedly took out her mobile phone and made a call. Not long after, the phone connected, and the saleswoman chatted with the other party in fluent English. A minute later, the saleswoman hung up the phone and said,

"Mr. Ye, the head of the household just got off the plane. He said that if it's possible, he can sign the contract in an hour."

Ye Chen nodded and said,

"Okay, but you have to check the documents thoroughly. Don't let me get caught in some international scam; that would be too troublesome."

The saleswoman hurriedly assured him,

"Mr. Ye, don't worry. We have carefully checked the house three times before it is listed for sale by our company. We guarantee that there will be no problems."

Ye Chen nodded and then went outside. Seeing this, the saleswoman hurried to follow.

Outside the community, Ye Chen drove his Bugatti Veyron to the office of the company where the saleswoman worked. As soon as he entered the door, Ye Chen enjoyed the highest level of courtesy. The store manager, deputy manager, team leader—a whole group of people greeted him with all sorts of enthusiastic welcomes and flattery. Although Ye Chen knew this was the other party's intention to curry favor, it still felt quite agreeable. Especially the store manager's assistant; her massage technique was quite good.

Forty minutes later, a blond, blue-eyed foreign man in his forties came to the store. After some rather lame self-introductions, Ye Chen learned his name was Paul. The contract was signed very smoothly because Ye Chen didn't try to counter the price at all. It just took some time for the handover verification. It was not until 5:30 in the afternoon that the transaction was completely completed. The moment Ye Chen successfully paid the 380 million yuan, a system prompt sounded.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for consuming 6 billion wealth points, raising the wealth level to LV10, now earning 20 yuan per second."

"Ding! Congratulations to the host; your wealth level has been improved! As a special reward, the host will receive Wealth Gift Package X1."
