Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Crimson Moon's Shadow

[Scene: Shrine Perimeter – Fog-Set Traps Active]

The broken runes around the shrine flared with qi as footsteps echoed through the mist.

> "Ye Tianfeng!"

A sharp voice cut through the fog.

Crimson Moon disciples emerged—robes sharp, blades drawn. At their center stood Elder Qin, his presence oppressive. Qi surged like a rising tide around him.

Tianfeng, hidden atop the shrine's crumbled wall, narrowed his eyes.

> "They sent a formation expert."

Luo Chen's fingers flashed hand seals beside him.

> Snap.

The first sigil lit up. The trap sprung.

---

[Scene: Trap Activation – Blood Formation Ignites]

Spikes of stone burst from the earth, impaling two disciples before they could react. The others jumped back—too late.

Lightning stitched through the formation, chaining them in place.

Elder Qin slammed his palm down.

> "Insignificant tricks!"

The earth shook as his qi dispersed the array, but his eyes widened. Too late, he saw the secondary glyphs.

Tianfeng dropped from above.

One strike.

A blade infused with wind—Gale Step powered, Whisper Vein-enhanced.

Elder Qin blocked, but was driven back, blood on his lips.

> "You… you've recovered your cultivation?!"

Tianfeng's voice was calm, lethal.

> "I engraved more."

---

[Scene: Combat – Tactical Clash]

Tianfeng weaved between two disciples, scanning with his panel mid-battle.

> [Target: Disciples – No unique talents detected.]

[Ignore Engraving – Low Value]

He disarmed one with a flick, incapacitated the other with a kick to the throat. His movements were no longer reckless—they were refined.

Elder Qin's fury boiled.

> "Trash like you dares to rise from execution?!"

> "I didn't rise…" Tianfeng's eyes blazed. "I carved my way back."

---

[Scene: Aftermath – Shrine Grounds, Quiet Again]

The battle ended in minutes.

Crimson Moon's patrol was broken. Elder Qin fled, injured and humiliated.

Tianfeng stood still, blood dripping from his blade. Not his own.

> [Engraving Panel]

Luo Chen looked at him in awe—and fear.

> "You're not just absorbing talent anymore…"
