Karumi was listening to everything but could barely understand what was going on. They were speaking too big for her brain to understand. This didn't mean that she was dumb or anything; it was just that she wasn't used to, or didn't comprehend, the vastness of the universe and things like that.
Kai, being from a modern society, understood the concept of the universe as his civilization was inspired by the unknown and the lack of information. They needed to fill the void left inside their minds.
But here, on a world where gods exist, there was no need to understand any more. Sure, she knew of the universe, and she eventually learned that there are other worlds with life on them, but that grand scale of things just fried her brain.
"What do you mean that the other universes are mostly destroyed?" Kai asked, "Isn't there an infinite amount of them?"
