"When I was a boy, I wanted to he a knight in shining armor, a person who saves the day and helps others. But then, my father died and I was stranded in the mountains. But thanks to the Goddess looking over my shoulders, I was able to make it back home to my mother and sister."
Over in the crowd, all of Kai's women could be seen in one section. He had teleported them here while Celeste was giving him a tour of the church.
"When I made it back home, my dreams changed. I didn't want to be a Knight, I wanted to be a hero!"
The crowd ate all of that shit up, soaking it in like sponges. He was talking about his origin story, and any person would be interested in the Hero's story.
"I trained, I studied, and I prayed to the goddess to watch over me. Eventually, I became a hunter and started my journey. But something unfortunate happened: my family was captured. I dropped everything I was doing to rescue them, and when I did, I learned that it was DEMONS who took them!"
