Chapter 111 - Chapter 111: Distance Communication

Just when Arima was at his wit's end, Orochimaru's arrival brought him new hope.

Orochimaru had come to report the latest research results from the Department of Science to his teacher, the Third Hokage.

Among them was a breakthrough product in long-distance communication.

"Remote communication" was originally one of the projects initiated years ago by the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama.

Now, it had achieved a major breakthrough. According to Tobirama's prediction, this project would bring his grandson tremendous rewards.

After knocking once at the office door, Orochimaru heard a voice from inside: "Come in." He pushed the door open and closed it behind him.

Walking to the desk, he saw his teacher frowning over a mountain of documents. Orochimaru brushed the messy files aside and handed over the one he had brought.

Arima had always kept a close eye on the Department of Science's progress. He immediately opened the file and carefully read through it.

Before long, Arima's attention landed on a project titled "Remote Communication."

The document detailed several developed applications, all of which had been tested and proven highly reliable.

He studied the descriptions of the "Fixed Communication" and "Mobile Communication" products and instantly realized that this innovation could resolve his current predicament.

Once the Shinobi World had remote communication, he could respond to surprise attacks at the fastest possible speed.

Satisfied, Arima nodded and told Orochimaru, "The 'Remote Communication' project must be carried out in full. By the end of this year, I expect the entire shinobi world to be connected!"

After Orochimaru departed, Arima immediately summoned the on-duty Anbu. "Gather the Four Kage here. I have urgent matters to discuss with them."

Half an hour later, the Kage arrived from their respective regions.

Without a preamble, Arima spoke.

"I plan to gather all the Tailed Beast jinchuriki in Kyoto, to prevent anyone from taking advantage of them being scattered. In addition, I will soon be leaving on a journey across the shinobi world.

Only a clone of mine will remain here. During my absence, you must take turns, two at a time, guarding Kyoto until I return."

Onoki raised a concern.

"If you're not in Kyoto and the jinchuriki lose control together, it could cause massive destruction to the city."

Arima explained, "My young disciple, Uchiha Kaito, has gone missing. I suspect Uchiha Madara has been resurrected and has taken him away!"

The four Kage were stunned.

Everyone knew that back then, Madara had clashed with the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, in the Valley of the End, only to be slain by him. Tobirama himself had collected the body.

How could someone long dead suddenly return? And if Madara had truly been resurrected… did that mean the First Kage of every village might also come back?

As their thoughts ran wild, Arima continued. "The Uchiha clan possesses a secret ability that can blur the line between dream and reality. Madara used this to deceive everyone's eyes."

The four Kage sighed helplessly, forced to accept the explanation.

"I intend to search for Madara's trail," Arima went on, "and at the same time, to investigate the backup measures Otsutsuki Isso has hidden within the shinobi world."

The Kage, all too weary of Isso's constant scheming, were relieved that Arima himself would finally take action. With his power, surely Isshiki would be dealt with swiftly.

Together, the five leaders laid out a new rotation plan to ensure Kyoto would always have two Kage present.

Before leaving, Tsunade entrusted her squad to Jiraiya's care. Kushina would accompany Arima on his journey, while a new member, Karura, joined the team.

The next day, Arima quietly departed Kyoto with his family.

Their first stop was the Land of Hot Water, famous for its healing springs.

Arima's mother, Naomi, and Tsunade had long yearned to visit. Since he had rarely taken his family out to enjoy themselves, Arima agreed readily this time.

With him around, the family never had to endure harsh travel. He could even draw up hot springs on the spot by tracing the underground water veins!

They traveled at leisure, pausing often to admire the sights, enjoying themselves thoroughly.

At every important location, Arima stayed three to four days, sending out clones to conduct exhaustive searches.

To his excitement, he discovered many secret bases, most of them used by Isshiki to train death soldiers.

Rather than dismantling them immediately, he left clones to watch, hoping to follow the trail back to Isso's true hideout.

Time passed swiftly, two years in the blink of an eye.

In that time, Arima had scoured the entire shinobi world, investigating every suspicious site, yet found no trace of Madara.

Even so, his efforts were not in vain. He had already marked all of Isso's hidden operatives across the nations, leaving only the final step of eliminating them.

Unfortunately, he still uncovered no direct information on Isso himself. The highest-ranked operatives he captured were merely jonin level rogue shinobi, carrying little useful intelligence.

By the end of June, Arima finally returned to Kyoto with his family.

This time, their household had grown by one more member, Senju Yuna.

The little girl, now a year old, was a delicate beauty with rosy cheeks and a pouty little mouth.

She inherited Tsunade's golden hair, and unlike her calmer brother, Yuna was lively and full of energy.

Together, the family enjoyed two precious years of leisure, reclaiming the lost time they had once sacrificed.

During those years, Arima also passed down his skills to his children.

His eldest daughter, Natsuka, now seventeen, was graceful and gentle by nature.

As an elite kunoichi, she had mastered all five elemental natures and could spar evenly with Arima for dozens of exchanges, just a step away from Kage level.

Nawaki had grown into a strong and sunny young man. Though he had yet to awaken Wood Release, his Water Release techniques had reached mastery.

Both he and Natsuka had successfully signed summoning contracts with Shikkotsu Forest.

Kushina's twelfth birthday was just days away. She had long anticipated it, since her Arima-nii had promised to take her to the moon for a day's adventure.

Over the past two years, Kushina had trained diligently, knowing she would soon inherit the role of Nine-Tails' jinchuriki.

Though fear and anxiety plagued her at first, Arima eased her heart with countless tales about the mischievous orange fox. Gradually, she accepted the Nine-Tails' presence within her.

Nine year old Nono had grown into a delicate-featured child, trained by both Arima and Tsunade. He had already mastered many advanced medical techniques.

Two year old Arata had not yet begun formal shinobi training, but his photographic memory often made Nawaki envious.

True to what Arima had seen in Roran, the boy was quiet and calm. Even when faced with problems he couldn't solve, he never threw tantrums, earning his parents' complete trust.

Once, mild-mannered Senju Arata lost his temper and unexpectedly awakened a single tomoe Sharingan.

The tomoe vanished quickly, but Arima noticed. He decided to send Arata to his granduncle for training, the only outsider in Kyoto who truly understood the Uchiha.

As for Tsunade, her power had advanced at astonishing speed these two years.

She was surprised to find that sharing a bed with Arima had intensified the Senju bloodline within her.

She felt the stirrings of Wood Release awakening, an experience both profound and mysterious.

From then on, she became more and more… proactive at night.

At first, Arima suspected something was wrong with her mind, but faced with Tsunade's sweet words, he eventually yielded with a sigh.

Meanwhile, Arima himself was changing. Ever since receiving the seal, it had been constantly purifying his bloodline.

His Otsutsuki heritage grew purer by the day, his hair shifting from black to brown, and soon it would be entirely white.

Now, he could clearly feel that his chakra reserves had more than doubled since the day he first met Jigen.

His system's merit points had also accumulated steadily, nearing five million.

Thanks to Orochimaru and others' invention of mobile communication, Arima alone had gained nearly eight hundred thousand points.

When the family returned home, they made no announcement, slipping quietly into their mansion.

Pushing open the gate, they found the courtyard swept clean, as though they had never left. Standing before the familiar sight, they were flooded with a long-lost sense of belonging.

After tidying up the residence, life and warmth filled the halls once again. Orochimaru and Jiraiya even dropped by to lend a hand.

That night, many high-ranking members of the Alliance gathered at Arima's mansion to celebrate.

Upon hearing that Arima had a new daughter, they all offered heartfelt congratulations. The evening was filled with joy.

The next day, Arima returned to the Hokage's office, recalled his clones, and sat quietly in his chair, absorbing the flood of memories in his mind.
