Arima was completely stunned by what he had just learned, so much so that he forgot he was still holding Seramu in his arms.
Feeling the stares from all around and still being held tightly in Arima's embrace, Seramu flushed with embarrassment.
Yet to maintain the dignity befitting a monarch, she gave a soft cough, a subtle reminder to the dumbfounded Arima.
Snapping out of his shock, Arima immediately and gently set Seramu down, offering her a sincere apology.
Of course, Seramu wasn't about to blame him. If anything, she wished she could stay in his arms a little longer. That sense of safety and warmth made her reluctant to part.
Arima, oblivious to her thoughts, turned quickly to Iwa after letting Seramu go, silently signaling her to explain what was going on.
But before Iwa could speak, a blur darted toward him. Arima instinctively caught the figure, a move so natural it reminded him of a young, mischievous Tsunade.
Looking down, he saw a blonde girl clinging tightly to his neck, taking a deep breath of his scent.
Before he could react, she looked up into his eyes, a nostalgic smile on her face.
"It really is father!"
Then she murmured, almost to herself, "Though… the left eye looks a little different."
Seramu, standing to the side, also heard the blonde girl's words. S
he was shocked and secretly thought Arima looks only 23 or 24 at most. How could he possibly have a daughter this old?
Arima was floored by the girl's words. He subconsciously echoed, "...Father?"
Her behavior confused him deeply. And though he found her muttered comment about his eye odd, he didn't pay it much attention.
The girl rested her head comfortably on his shoulder and spoke as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"Of course! My name is Yuna Senju! That white-haired guy over there is your son, Arata Senju!"
Then, as if remembering something important, Yuna raised her head and looked straight into his eyes.
"Father, you're not going to pretend you don't know us, are you?"
Arima's mind was a storm of conflicting thoughts. He frantically searched his memories for anything remotely like this, but he was certain, he had never done anything questionable.
So where had these children come from? And how would he explain this to Tsunade?
Hearing Yuna's declaration, he instinctively murmured, "I, I recognize you! I do!"
Instantly, Yuna beamed with joy and planted a loud kiss on his cheek.
"I knew Father was the best! Mother always steals all the love you give me! Hmph! You're always biased toward her!"
Then, pulling out a piece of candy from her pouch, she unwrapped it and stuffed it into Arima's mouth.
"Here… Once you eat my candy, you can't take it back. Aunt Natsuka brought it all the way from the Land of Demons!"
Arima, chewing the candy, only grew more confused.
Aunt Natsuka? Land of Demons? Was she talking about little Natsuka? But Natsu was only three years old! And the candy she had back then wasn't like this at all!
Now, with Yuna still in his arms, Arima found himself caught in an incredibly awkward position.
The girl was clearly very familiar with him, but he had never seen her before.
He felt too embarrassed to keep holding her, but if he put her down, he was afraid she'd say something even more outrageous.
Arata watched his mischievous little sister mess with their father and initially wanted to intervene.
But seeing his usually calm, confident father completely at a loss, he found it too amusing to stop. So instead, he stood silently on the sidelines, enjoying the show.
Still, like his sister, he'd noticed something off about their father's left eye. But since she already mentioned it, he didn't dwell on it further.
On the side, Kushina had finally seen enough. Her niece had always been clever and impish, but now she was straight up bullying her father.
She rolled up her sleeves and stepped forward. "Yuna! Get out of his arms already! You're too grown-up to be clinging like that!"
Yuna didn't even flinch. Instead, she countered calmly.
"But didn't Mother say that Aunt Kushina used to love clinging to Father even more than I do? What, now that you've met Minato sensei, you've forgotten?"
With that, she cheekily stuck her tongue out at Minato.
Kushina's face turned beet red in an instant. Flustered, she sulked back to Minato and mouthed at Arima. 'Sorry, can't help you.'
Minato, who knew Kushina used to admire Arima a great deal, didn't mind one bit. He gently took her hand, his smile warm and reassuring.
Arima watched this whole scene play out, but his mind was still a blur.
Iwa finally stepped up beside him and gave a slight bow.
"Apologies, Lord Third. Seeing you reunite with your future children… Well, I forgot to report the situation."
Arima shook his head to indicate it was fine and gestured for her to proceed.
But Yuna cut in, refusing to miss another chance to speak.
"Father, you still haven't figured it out? Just look, my hair, the Yin Seal on my forehead, my Wood Release. Isn't it obvious?"
As she spoke, Yuna formed the hand seal. Immediately, sprouts burst from the ground around her, quickly growing into a towering tree.
Arima was stunned. This girl really did seem like a more powerful, more sensible version of young Tsunade, minus the gambling.
He cautiously asked, "So… you're my and Tsunade's daughter? From the future?"
Yuna's eyes sparkled with joy. "You finally believe me!"
Then her tone softened as she gave an honest apology.
"Sorry, Father. You don't get much time with me and Arata in the future, so when I saw you, I just couldn't resist teasing you a little. I guess I needed a way to let out my frustrations…"
Her voice trailed off as she rested her head on Arima's shoulder again. "I missed you so much, Father."
Arima was deeply moved by the sincerity in her words. He hugged her close and replied gently, "Alright. I'll remember today. I'll make sure to spend more time with you both."
A tiny smile crept onto Yuna's lips as she buried her face in his shoulder.
Kushina watched and couldn't help putting a hand to her forehead, sighing inwardly.
Arima's still as soft-hearted as ever. No wonder this little brat has him wrapped around her finger. Still… Her methods do work. Maybe I should try them on Minato sometime…
Arata smiled too, all tension draining from his heart.
The scene reminded him of the day they first enrolled in the Ninja Academy, when their father and mother had taken them by the hand and walked them through the front gates.
After Yuna's playful storm had passed, Arima finally had a grasp on who was who.
Iwa then explained everything in detail, and only then did Arima begin to truly understand the situation.
Seramu, realizing it had all been a big misunderstanding, breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
She wanted to ask if she and the Third had any future together… but in the end, the words never left her lips.
Once Iwa finished her report, Arima turned to Minato and asked, "Do you have any intel on this man called Shinno?"
Minato responded by handing over a scroll from his ninja tool pouch.
Arima unfurled it and began reading carefully.
Shinno, cunning, secretive, and highly skilled in medical ninjutsu. Developed forbidden medical techniques including.
Body Activation Technique that dramatically enhances physical ability by stimulating cellular activity.
Body Revival Technique which allows regeneration from even total bodily destruction.
Stole the Eight Gates technique from Konoha and defected.
After reading it, Arima spoke slowly.
"I think I know where Shinno is right now."
Everyone looked at him in confusion. He had only just finished reading, how could he already know Shinno's whereabouts?
Arima turned to Seramu and said, "Do you remember what that mysterious man said to you when you were about to take your life?"
Everyone turned to the Queen.
Seramu, regaining her usual composure, nodded calmly.
"That man said, 'I once learned some strange medical techniques from a doctor.
One of them was called the Forbidden Medical Jutsu: Body Revival. It ensures survival even after grievous injury.'"
Minato's eyes lit up instantly. Body Revival, that was one of Shinno's techniques.
Now it all made sense.
Shinno had arrived in this era ahead of Minato and the others, colluding with Miyadera to launch ambushes across various nations using future knowledge.
The rapid rise of the Sky Ninja could very well be tied to him.
Arima looked around and declared, "Once we've rested, we'll regroup with Dodai and Kata.
Then we infiltrate Ancor Vantian. Our objective, wipe out the Sky Ninja at their roots and capture the masterminds, Shinno and Miyadera!"
