Chapter 48 - Chapter 48 - The Sky is Changing

The crowd blinked. Has Void Reaper gone blind? How can he call the most lowest player out of all the Leader? This player doesn't even have a weapon and his gear looks ordinary.

Malik's eyes met his. Calm. Unmoved. Even Young Star and the rest was surprised. This Assassin really have a good insight.

Void Reaper smiled. "Interesting."

He didn't draw a weapon. Instead, he offered a nod of respect.

"You're strong. All of you. But him…" —he gestured to Malik— "I can't read him. And that alone tells me you're not someone to be messed with."

The crowd watched in stunned silence. Did Void Reaper, the most fearful Assassin of the Black Crescent Town just claim to be inferior.

"You're not in any guild?" Void Reaper asked plainly.

"No," Malik replied lowly. The Assassin tone was not laced with any hidden intent, so he see no reason not to answer.

"I'd like to change that."

A hush fell again.

"How lucky this player is?"

"Brother Void Reaper is actually inviting him to his guild?"

"The Black Crescent Guild mainly accept Assassin." '

"Is this player an Assassin?"

"Apart from his level. I can't see any other information."

"I can't see his class also. Is there something wrong with my appraisal skill."

"You jest. If Brother Void Reaper couldn't see through him.. What do you expect from average players like us?"

"But this fellow is just too lucky."

Even Malik Team members were surprised, they didn't except the Assassin to issue an invitation to Malik in such a tyrannical manner. They've all heard about the Black Cresent guild and knew how powerful its influence is in Black Moon kingdom.

But Malik smiled faintly and shook his head. "Somethings are better left unchanged.."

His response shocked everyone including his team members.

"How tyrannical?" Kenny eyes glimmered with sharpness. Malik response has broaden her horizon. It doesn't change anything if I join your guild or not. You invited me in a tyrannical manner, I'll also reject you in the same way.

"Boss is..."

"Brazen."

"This fellow is too brazen. He has no regard for the Black Crescent Guild."

"He did not only reject Brother Void Reaper but also insult the prestige of the guild."

"He thinks he has become invisible after clearing the Feral Dungeon."

"I'm sure he's in for a soup now."

Void Reaper stared for a long moment… and then, to the crowd's complete shock, he laughed out loud.

"..."

"Hah! I figured as much." He stepped back. "You've got that 'I walk alone' aura. Alright. Then maybe we do business instead."

Malik raised an eyebrow. "This fellow is just too..."

"We should go to a safer place to discuss.. Don't you think?"

"I'm not that free." Malik replied checking the time on his system. He still needs to check the item he looted.

"Yes.. We can talk while the Black Crescent Guild escort you out." Void Reaper said sending Malik a friend request.

Malik glanced at his system interface for a while before pressing the accept button.

"Player Man like Malik oo.." Void Reaper arched his brow when a smile formed on his face and he turned to the crowd.

"Brothers. These fellows are friends from the Black Crescent Guild... Please can you show us some face for clearing the pathway." Void Reaper announced and the players hesitated before clearing a pathway for the troops.

"So this is the power of a Guild huh.." White Emperor eyes flashed. He was thinking of when their Boss will create a guild and they will be able to move unhindered.

"Brother Man like Malik. I want the coordinates to the Feral Dungeon entrance. The exact node. The real one. Not the ones being sold in hubs."

"How are you sure I'll have the coordinate." Malik replied back. Of course, the people present couldn't heard their discussion because they were sending messages directly to their interface. This is possible since they were friends.

"It just instinct."

"Well you've a good instinct but it not for free."

Void Reaper grinned wider. "What's your price?"

Malik mused for a while before spelling 1000 on the interface.

"1000 gold coins.. That's too high Brother, why don't I pay 700 gold coins and you'll give me the trick to it."

"700 gold coins.." Malik ear almost bleed. When he wrote 1000, he had meant silver coins. Never in his life did he thought Void Reaper would misquote him and was really not bothered about it.

'Are guilds that rich?' As he thought about it, his thought reflects on the Shadow guild and a frown appeared on his face.

On seeing this, Void Reaper quickly proposed another 100 gold coin thinking the amount was too small. Malik only smiled bitterly as he sent the coordinates and every data to Void Reaper after receiving the money.

This data include all the monsters, the Boss of each level, their attack power and patterns. Void Reaper was extremely shocked. The 800 gold coins paid wasn't worth this information.

"With this.. We will get the normal mode first clear."

"Brother Man like Malik. I truly have you to thank."

"You're too polite Brother Void Reaper. Without you we wouldn't have safely escaped from the clutches of those Greedy players..as a compensation I'm giving you this."

Malik reached into his inventory and pulled out a weapon. A dagger so cold in design and with a soft glow.

Voidfang Dagger

Dark Gold Rank

Void Reaper's eyes narrowed. He took one look at the blade and his body trembled. A weapon at the gold rank..

"Brother.. This weapon worth a few thousand coins I won't be able to afford it."

"I'm not selling it to you. I'm giving it to you. Consider it repaying a favor."

'Repaying a favor huh. I only did that out of my selfish interest. Is this man trying to make the Black Crescent Guild owe him?'

"But if you don't want.. I can.."

"If so Brother Man Like Malik.. I won't be so polite." Void Reaper stepped forward and the moment the dagger entered Void Reaper's hand, a faint aura pulsed from his body.

'This..'

"This is the Black Cresent Token. Incase you come to Black Crescent Town, you can easily look for me." Void Reaper said handing over a Black token to Malik who nodded before vanishing into the thin air. Not just him but also the Assassins who has been protecting the team from the shadows.

"Oh..that was a relief.. I nearly thought we are going to die back there."

"Stop saying rubbish Taiwo. There's no way this dude will allow them to kill you." Angel Michael boosted.

"Brother Man like Malik..I think this is where we will part ways..I pray we meet each other very soon." Kenny said and Malik nodded. After discussing for a while, Kenny and her team departed from the team before logging out of the game.

"Don't you've classes Michael?" Malik asked and Angel Michael grinned silently.

"I don't think so." He replied.

"The both of you. What are you still waiting for?"

"Boss.. It's natural we follow you."

"I'm venturing into the emerald forest. It's said to be very dangerous at night. Won't you guys log off and then continue grinding tomorrow.." Malik said to them.

"We can't lag behind Boss. And moreover I've been itching to test my combat prowess." White Emperor added.

"Even I Boss." Young Star cried out.

"Okay the two of you should go stock up food and things we will be needing for the journey." Malik said and they quickly hurried off.

"And you Michael. Go check the situation in the real world."

"What about You Malik. Don't you need to rest?" Angel Michael replied and Malik shook his head. He drank a bottle of C rank Nutrient field before logging in. He can still last some days without logging off the game.

"I've many things to do. I'll be waiting for you guys at the forest entrance."

"Okay then." Angel Michael replied before logging off. Malik looked up to the sky and sighed 'The sky is changing.'
