"Capture the Traitor!" A young man with azure hair wearing very futuristic clothing was pointed out and screamed at by a soldier in futuristic armor brandishing an advanced laser gun.
He smiled as the other soldiers placed him down and handcuffed him with an extremely high-tech handcuff.
Everyone in the beautifully furnished room with all the amenities stared at him with disdain. They would have torn the young man to pieces and fed his remains to the exotic pet beasts if they hadn't been on official duty and the young man hadn't had more authority than them.
Seeing his smiling face on top of what they knew made their blood boil. A soldier who couldn't take it anymore rushed ahead and punched him hard on the face.
The young man was knocked back to the ground with blood pouring out of his nose. Nobody tried to stop the attacker, if not for the rules they all would've punched him to death.
Their leader dragged the young man by a rope; afraid to dirty his own hands by touching someone like him while the young man didn't express any resistance.
They put him inside a high tech disk-like vehicle that was floating 1 meter above the ground with no wheels on sight.
Along the way, they passed through three blue enigmatic passages that teleported them to a certain distance. The young man looked out the window, watching the futuristic city that he promised to protect when he was a child.
But, by some twist of Fate, he has become the very reason this civilization would face a catastrophe that might destroy the entirety of it.
The Soldiers took him to a magnificent large structure that looked like a court. Not a basic one, but the Central Court that only resolves military and government conflicts which are judged by the Goddess of Knowledge herself.
They walked through the main gate. There currently weren't any military matters that needed the goddess's appraisal except the matter regarding the young man.
They soon entered a vas hallway. Many important and high authority figures were present. The young man walked towards the defendant's seat among the disdainful glare of everyone present and stood there, awaiting the trials beginning.
After everyone was present, an ethereal and melodious voice rang in everyone's ears.
"Mark Starmaker. You have been accused of a serious crime of Illegal Interference in the Universal Archive with leaking, destroying and selling confidential information to the enemy forces." In the highest seat, a crystalline orb was placed with enigmatic colors flowing within like a sea of countless elements. Mark felt as if the person speaking was directly looking at him as it continued,
"Evidence of your supposed involvement with the enemies have been provided. And they are unmistakably not false or fabricated, with there being no argument…."
"Yes I did it!" He interrupted her, admitting to the allegations placed upon him. His smile from the moment he entered the court room still intact on his lips as he added,
"I not only did what you just said but something much more drastic than all the previous allegations. "
"What do you mean by 'something much more drastic'?" A high rank official asked, his heart burned with rage as he looked at Mark's smug expression.
The latter's smile widened as he waited for the upcoming chaos.
"Ding!"
A sound rang across everyone within not only the courtroom but across every device that is connected to the mentioned 'Universal Archive' in the entire Human Domain spanning multiple Galaxies.
Mark waited for their reaction as humans all across the galaxies read the urgent information.
[Warning!!
The Archive have Detected a large amount of files infected with irregular Codes!
Estimated size: 70 Penta Byte
Sections: Military (60%), Research (30%) and Technical (10%)
The Infected Files are in danger of permanent deletion with no way to salvage critical information being found.]
The entire hall went into a deathly silence as everyone digested the weight of this message.
The size of the files alone is one-third of the entire human race's data collected through millions of years of development. But now all that data is now on the brink of deletion because of a single traitor.
On top of that, 60% of that data is from the Military Section. If those files are permanently deleted then the entire defense system of the human domain will reveal major blind spots, making the human race vulnerable to spies from enemy races.
The damage it will do is immeasurable and recovering all the files would take many years. Indeed, the amount of time might seem insignificant with the Human race having an average life expectancy of a thousand years, but the duration they will be exposed to enemies is too long.
"YOU DEMON!! Do you even realize how much damage it will do to everyone? How many people will die just because of your petty revenge?" Some shouted among the officials, her voice barely suppressing her inner fury.
Mark looked at her with pure contempt as he responded, his voice icy with a dangerous tone, "Petty revenge?' Do you really think I would put my life on the line just for some 'petty revenge'?"
"So can you explain 'why' you did it? Putting so many people's lives on the line for?" The voice from the crystalline orb rang out as the Goddess of Knowledge questioned him.
Mark looked at the crystalline orb, his eyes growing colder and his voice lowering further holding a hint of suppressed anger as he responded, "You! You are quite the scheming bitch to ask me 'why' I did it."
A mocking laugh escaped his lips and echoed as he added, "'You' should know exactly as to 'why' I fell that low."
"It's because of you that my family, my mom, my dad and… she perished. Did you really think I would take it just like that?"
'Sigh~' the goddess sighed and muttered something, her voice sounding disappointed about something, "This isn't how I expected it to be."
"Let them in." She commanded the guards. The advance door opened and the figures of three people appeared in front of everyone.
