The Electric Man stared into Nathan's calm, unwavering eyes.
For the first time since awakening his powers, a seed of fear crept into his heart.
That unease quickly turned into dread.
He thrust out both hands—raw electricity surging from his fingertips, blasting toward Nathan like a tidal wave of light. Arcs of lightning danced across the air, searing the walls and cracking the ground beneath.
And yet...
Nathan didn't move.
The violent electric current hit his body head-on, wrapping around his limbs, lighting up the entire floor in a blue storm of energy.
Crackle! Crackle!
The air buzzed with tension. Sparks exploded like fireworks.
And then—silence.
The arcs of electricity dissipated into the floor and ceiling, vanishing into nothingness. The only remaining signs were tiny residual sparks jumping near Nathan's feet.
But Nathan himself?
Unharmed. Calm. Standing tall.
Norman, still recovering nearby, froze. His raised hand, which had been preparing another counterattack, stopped mid-air.
"What… what's going on…?" Norman gasped. "He's completely unaffected..."
The Electric Man blinked, stunned.
"H-How… how can this be?!"
His hands trembled. His mind raced.
He'd just unleashed a voltage strong enough to level a truck.
Yet this man...
This man didn't even flinch.
"It doesn't make sense!" he roared. "You should've been fried!"
"Maybe—maybe I didn't use enough power! Yeah, that must be it!"
He raised his hands again, pulling from the building's power grid, his eyes flashing white with energy.
"Let me show you REAL power!"
But Nathan had already begun moving.
He sprinted forward—silent and swift—electricity now crackling faintly around his own body.
His goal was clear: capture the Electric Man before he could absorb any more electricity and become truly dangerous.
"NO!" The Electric Man screamed, and thrust out his arms again.
A massive ball of electricity, glowing like a miniature sun, formed between his palms.
And outside…
BOOM!
Thunder cracked across the city. Storm clouds rolled in unnaturally fast, responding as if drawn by the surge of power.
The dark night became blindingly white for a moment.
Inside Osborn Tower, the energy sphere detonated.
Like a dragon of lightning, it surged toward Nathan, roaring through the hall.
CRACKLE!
The current slammed into him with force.
But Nathan's outfit had been designed for this. His reinforced suit—insulated to handle his own bioelectricity—absorbed and grounded the attack.
Sparks burst around him again, lighting up his figure in shimmering silver.
And still...
Not a scratch. Not even a pause.
Norman's jaw dropped. "He… he's immune."
"IMPOSSIBLE!!" the Electric Man screamed.
He pumped more and more power into his next attack. The lightning became thicker—like glowing steel rods. It surged into Nathan again.
But this time, the current backfired.
Nathan's body shimmered with light. His skin reflected a radiant, silvery-blue hue, arcs leaping around him like playful spirits.
He looked like a god of thunder walking through a mortal storm.
The surrounding onlookers—office workers trapped by the chaos—gasped from the corners of the room.
"Who IS this guy?!"
"He's… he's not even human…"
"Forget superheroes—this is something else!"
From Nathan's coat pocket, Little Spider-Man peeked out. It blinked happily as the electrical surge passed through its tiny body, like a warm bath.
It purred softly. "Oooh~ Comfy…"
Meanwhile, Nathan had reached his target.
He grabbed the Electric Man by the head, lifting him easily. Their height difference made the villain look like a child.
Electric arcs burst across Nathan's frame like a thundercloud compressing into a man.
He stared down, voice deep and composed:
"Your electricity… is quite comfortable."
BOOM!
A burst of thunder erupted from Nathan's body, shocking the air.
The Electric Man's eyes bulged with disbelief. "C-Comfortable?!"
He screamed. Panic overtook him.
Feeling Nathan's fingers like iron chains wrapped around his skull, he unleashed everything he had left.
His entire body ignited, electricity pouring out of every pore.
His eyes turned white. The current lashed out in all directions.
BOOM!
A tremendous wave of lightning exploded.
Shockwaves burst through walls. Metal beams bent. Electrical panels short-circuited. Office glass across nearby skyscrapers shattered into glittering dust, falling like glowing snow.
It was a disaster-grade blast.
And yet—when the light faded… Nathan was still there.
Standing calmly, completely unharmed.
The Electric Man had nothing left.
His body flickered. His power was gone.
The lightning that had once made him into a monster now faded completely.
He looked like a normal man again, barely able to stand, his body slumped in Nathan's grip.
Fear settled in.
Real fear.
"I... I lost," the Electric Man whispered.
Just as Nathan raised a hand to knock him unconscious—
BOOOOOM!
The skies roared.
A lightning bolt tore through the heavens, aimed directly at the Osborn Tower. Then another. And another.
All three struck the exact same floor.
All aimed at Nathan.
In the distance, people saw it clearly.
"Holy crap… did lightning just strike the same place THREE times?!"
"Is someone transcending tribulation?! That guy must be a cultivator!"
A foreign student watching from a rooftop dropped his e-book and muttered, "That's it. I was right. Lu Dai didn't lie. There are immortals among us."
Back in the tower, Nathan's eyes widened.
"Not good!"
The electric field around me is too strong—it's pulling lightning like a magnet!
The first bolt struck.
BOOM!
The second followed instantly. Then the third.
THREE heavenly strikes merged into one, slamming into Nathan and the Electric Man.
Electricity howled. Metal screamed. The tower shook.
Nathan's body absorbed it without harm, but the Electric Man…
Recharged. Instantly.
His energy surged beyond his previous limits.
Then—in a flash of light, he vanished.
No longer flesh and blood.
Now pure electricity.
Nathan's hand closed around nothing but air.
The Electric Man, now transformed, laughed as his voice echoed around the room:
"I didn't think I could still reach this stage… HAHAHA! Heaven didn't abandon me after all!"
Whoosh!
He darted into a cracked wall socket, vanishing into the building's internal wiring.
Nathan reached out, but his hand passed through the current.
"Damn it. The storm helped him evolve... again."
Even Little Spider-Man sighed from his pocket. Its eyes drooped in disappointment.
Nathan turned. He couldn't stay. He leapt from the broken floor and shot into the sky, swinging toward his safe house.
"I have to find him before he disappears."
His eyes narrowed as he soared through the storm.
"I need to capture him and replicate his abilities."
He remembered the way the Electric Man turned into living electricity and vanished.
"I NEED that ability."
His thoughts were laser-focused.
"He won't leave New York. This is his home. Either he goes back—or he'll continue robbing businesses."
Nathan's face remained calm, composed, not shaken in the slightest by the escape.
"This time, he'll be more cautious. He'll keep his electric form constantly active. I can't catch him the same way again."
He paused, analyzing quickly.
"What I need is a containment device—one that can trap electricity."
"I need to reduce his energy levels until he's back to human form."
Nathan's mind flashed to the prison Tony Stark once summoned from orbit, used to trap the Hulk.
"That's it. I need something similar—but specialized for electricity."
"It has to be insulated, strong, and equipped with draining tech—a way to siphon his electric charge slowly."
"If I can cut off his power, I can turn him human again. Then—he's mine."
Lightning lit up the sky again.
Nathan's figure soared through the storm, a streak of silver in the heavens, outlined by the storm's brilliance.
In his eyes—a cold light. Focused. Unyielding.
The hunt had begun again.
