Unlike Sona and Tsubaki, Rias was more emotional and prone to recklessness. Failing to recruit Yusuke into her peerage had clearly spooked her.
Although she felt slightly pleased that Yusuke had rejected Sona too, she didn't like the fact that he had turned down both of them. For most humans, the temptation of becoming a reincarnated devil was too strong; the power, the lifespan, the wealth, it was almost impossible to resist.
In the end, Rias, just like all the other Yanderes, did not blame Yusuke. Instead, she turned her attention to someone else.
She believed the reason Yusuke kept refusing their offers was because of those two human girls, Murayama and Aika. They were holding him back, getting in the way, stopping him from accepting her.
These two women were trying to deceive him... no, they had already deceived him!
And she, Rias, was going to free Yusuke from those two lowly worms.
Her train of thought was similar to Kalawarna's, but unlike Kalawarna, Rias wasn't planning to kill them.
"Do you need anything, Rias-senpai?" Murayama had always admired Rias; she used to be her little fan girl. But that changed after she fell for Yusuke. Her focus had shifted entirely to him, and after what happened this morning, she even started harboring hostile feelings toward Rias.
Aika felt the same resentment as Murayama. Her gaze flickered between Rias and Akeno, lingering on their weapons of mass distraction as her teeth ground together silently.
She glanced around. The corridor was packed with students leaving their classes, but something felt off. Normally, whenever Rias-senpai or Akeno-senpai showed up, it would cause a full-blown commotion among both girls and boys. Yet right now, no one seemed to notice them at all. Everyone just went on their way, as if they were invisible.
"Yes, I have a request for both of you," Rias smiled. Her expression was refined and gentle, yet something about it made the girls' stomachs clench with unease.
She leaned in close, locking eyes with each of them as she whispered, "Could you please forget everything about Yusuke Aoki?"
Swoosh!
A pulse of crimson light enveloped them, just for an instant, leaving both girls dazed.
When the light faded, both girls remained still in a daze. A strange, faint red glow lingered in their eyes. Once it disappeared, they regained their composure, exchanged a glance, and resumed walking, leaving the school behind.
"Hmm? What was I doing earlier? Why do I feel like I forgot something?" Reaching the school gate, Aika looked back and muttered in a daze. She felt something important was missing, but could not remember what.
Murayama was the same. She walked past the gate with her head down, feeling like something crucial had been ripped from her heart. A sudden emptiness filled her with a heavy, uncomfortable ache.
Subconsciously, both girls clenched their chests. They went their separate ways without speaking, lost in their own absent minds.
"Fufufufu~ Are you sure you want to do this? Aren't you afraid Yusuke-kun will hate you for it?" Back at the school, watching the two girls from a window, Akeno laughed. She seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the unfolding scene.
After meeting Yusuke, Rias came up with the idea to separate Murayama and Aika from him. To do this, she used her demonic power to erase everything about him from their memories. To make things even more convincing, she spent the whole afternoon wiping all traces of him from their places.
She 'confiscated' his pictures, clothes, and other items the girls had stolen or taken secretly. She even used her power to erase his traces from their phones and every other electronic device.
"That's impossible. Yusuke-kun won't hate me… I won't allow him to hate me," Rias muttered, staring into the distance.
"It seems you're deeply in love with him, heh," Akeno stopped smiling and whispered.
Rias, "..."
...
"Yusuke-san!" As soon as he stepped into the park, Yusuke noticed Tsubaki waving her hand.
The meeting spot was a small park near the school. Usually, kids come here with their parents to play, though there aren't many. Japan and its birthrate problem.
"Tsubaki-senpai," Yusuke walked over and greeted her with a warm smile. Among all the freaky girls he knew, aside from Aika, Tsubaki was the most tame. Though after what happened with Kalawarna, Yusuke had once again learned his lesson to never lower his guard around Yanderes.
'After thinking the whole day, I've only managed to come up with one way to get Tsubaki's submission to 80, but... would it even work?' Yusuke stared at the girl, trying to restrain her happiness and thought. He felt somewhat troubled and hesitant about using this method.
This idea was suggested by the bitch system. He wasn't sure if it would work, but so far, while the system was bitchy, it had been somewhat reliable.
"Sorry for asking you out so suddenly. Did it bother you?" Tsubaki adjusted her glasses with one hand, the other clenching her skirt as she asked.
"Of course not." Yusuke shook his head with a very friendly smile, then looked around and said, "Do you want to go somewhere else?"
Although this place wasn't crowded, there were still too many people around. It wasn't suitable for a private chat.
"Alright." Tsubaki paused, glanced around, and nodded. She also felt it would be better if they went somewhere with fewer people.
Somewhere far away, preferably empty with no one to bother them. Like an underground dungeon, a dark basement, or maybe even a nuclear shelter…
'Stop, Tsubaki, stop thinking things like that, you can't earn Yusuke's love if you act forcefully,' Tsubaki quickly pushed the resurfacing dark thought aside. As they left the park, she suddenly said, "I wonder if you met anyone today."
"Meeting anyone? Oh, right, I met Rias-senpai and Akeno-senpai," Yusuke replied with an amazed tone. "I was surprised to know that both of them were devils like you, Tsubaki-senpai."
Although Yusuke was bad at lying, it didn't mean he couldn't lie.
"Really? Did they tell you anything?" Tsubaki's movement stiffened for a moment before she asked.
"Yes, Rias-senpai invited me to her peerage," Yusuke replied.
"...What... what was your response?" Tsubaki could still tell Yusuke was human and hadn't been reincarnated as a devil yet, but she was nervous he might accept Rias's recruitment. Although she hated to admit it, Rias was more charismatic and charming than both her and Sona.
"I accepted her offer." Yusuke's reply made the bespectacled girl freeze.
"What?!" She spun around, grabbed his shoulder, and shook him. Her eyes were wide with panic, confusion, and sadness.
Why did he turn her down but accept Rias's recruitment? Did he hate her? Or did he like Rias more? Was it because Rias was more beautiful? But he clearly said he found her beautiful and liked her eyes. Was it all a lie?
Right in the middle of her spiraling emotions, Yusuke chuckled and said, "Haha, just kidding."
"Ehh? What do you mean?" His words snapped Tsubaki out of her whirlwind of doubt. She locked eyes with him and asked.
"Tsubaki-senpai is such a beautiful woman, but you always wear that serious expression. I couldn't help but want to tease you," Yusuke smiled at her, then suddenly reached out and patted her head. "You should try to smile more."
[Where the fuck did you learn that? If you had even a tenth of that drip in your past life, you wouldn't have fumbled so hard. The system, which had been silent most of the day, suddenly spoke in amazement.
'I don't know, it just comes naturally now,' Yusuke replied. He could feel his rizz evolving, a far cry from the rizzless days of his past.
"Pufff!"
As if an antimatter bomb exploded inside her brain, Tsubaki's mind shut down completely. Her face flushed deep crimson, and smoke seemed to puff above her head as she stared at him, utterly dumbfounded.
The mental shockwave left zero room for coherent thought; her mind simply blue-screened.
"Did I overdo it again?" Yusuke muttered, giving her head a few more pats. "Tsubaki-senpai? Hello? You alive in there?"
He noticed that among the yandere girls, Tsubaki was the one who had the least resistance to his 'attacks'. Aika and Murayama did not usually blackout from his compliments. Maybe they had built up some kind of resistance.
'I should think of another way to make their minds crash. It's no fun if they get used to it,' Yusuke thought to himself. For some reason, he wanted to meet both of them right now.
"R-right! I'm alright!" His call managed to reboot Tsubaki's brain, but his next words sent her mind crashing into blackout again.
"Senpai, I've been wondering... Could it be you're in love with me?"
