The cool liquid touched Ren's lips and he had no choice but to drink because he felt so dehydrated.
He drank from Axton's hand, gulping loudly until he finished the last drop of water.
Axton watched Ren quietly, his mind struggling to accept that this same beautiful man had been so rapid a few minutes ago. He almost lost him and he wasn't letting anything happen to Ren again.

Ren leaned away as he finished the water, facing the wall, away from Axton and all the watchful eyes of the men in the room.
Axton was tempted to turn Ren's face back and kiss him, he craved a kiss that would be so deep and reassuring. A kiss that would console his troubled soul that Ren was still alive and his. But he could sense that Ren was avoiding him, and he knew why.
