Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Tianqiong City’S Experimental Plan

Shocking! Fear! Awe!

Zhongli was once again stunned by this power.

Even through the screen, even knowing this was just a projection of the mysterious God's past life, the power that emanated from it was still frightening.

[Zhongli]: "Venti, what do you think?"

[Venti]: "It's terrifying. Perhaps even 'that one' is not as frightening as him."

[Paimon]: "Who are you two talking about?"

[Venti]: "Ehe~ That's a secret I can't tell, of course~"

[Paimon]: "Lumine, after this is over, let's go to Inazuma to meet this mysterious God."

[Kamisato Ayaka]: "I don't quite understand this part. Is it saying that the Lord God is preparing some kind of plan?"

[Paimon]: "That's obvious! But if Paimon had that kind of strength, Paimon would just travel the Seven Nations and have the Seven Archons cook for her. Why would she need a plan?"

[Zhongli]: "Given the scale, his plans must be very grand."

[Nahida]: "Yes, I'm also very curious about his plan. What could make such a powerful person prepare for thousands of years, and... how did he die?"

words struck like thunder, making everyone pause.

That's right!

Someone as powerful as him.

How could this be a past life?

How could he have died?

In the chat, everyone began to speculate and offer various theories.

Some said that his plan must have failed.

Others suggested he faced an even more powerful enemy.

A few even proposed that he simply chose to die.

Yae Miko stayed by Lin Hao's side. Her eyes flashed with curiosity as she glanced at the greatsword stuck in the ground before the Sacred Sakura, but she didn't ask him for the answer directly.

She simply remained by his side, her gaze fixed on the screen.

The exposure system seemed to be deliberately building suspense.

The perspective shifted from Kevin to a place called Tianqiong City, focusing on a young girl.

The girl's name was Kiana Kaslana.

Thanks to the system's earlier introduction, everyone in Teyvat knew her origin story and that she was connected to Kevin.

On the screen, Kiana was seen wandering through the scenes of Honkai outbreaks, saving people from one disaster after another.

No one knew when she arrived, and no one knew when she left.

The only certainty was that when the Honkai appeared, a figure in white would arrive to save those trapped by the disaster.

Witnessing these calamities, the people of Teyvat saw the cruelty of this other world and came to clearly understand what the Honkai was.

The scene changed, shifting to a mysterious base.

Jackal said, "According to Gray Serpent's intel, K-423 has been staying in Tianqiong City and hasn't left."

Raven worriedly added, "She has been active around the Honkai disaster sites. I'm worried she might endanger the experiment."

Jackal frowned slightly. "...That is indeed a problem. But we have no time to worry about her. The Lord has returned from the Sea of Quanta and ordered the plan to begin. The priority now is dealing with interference from Schicksal. They've already sent people to Shenzhou. We can't let them get in our way."

"I have an idea," Raven said with a smile. "K-423's whereabouts are a higher priority for Schicksal. Let's make them busy chasing her."

What happened next was just as Raven had imagined.

Schicksal dispatched Rita Rossweisse to Tianqiong City in Shenzhou to investigate Kiana's whereabouts.

After a detailed investigation, it was determined that Kiana would likely appear at the site of a Honkai disaster. Rita chose a disaster flashpoint and waited for Kiana's arrival.

Amidst the chaos of a Honkai outbreak, the girl suddenly appeared, a floating shadow in the darkness cast by Honkai Beasts and Deadwalkers. Violent gunshots and flashes of fire bloomed around her.

With a final gunshot, Kiana landed on the ground. Under the night sky, her white hair seemed to condense the moonlight, making the mountains of debris at her feet appear even darker.

She tilted her head, was silent for a moment, and then suddenly said, "Are you going to keep hiding? Come out."

Rita emerged from behind a building.

"It has been a long time, Miss Kiana. Or... should I call you the Herrscher of the Void?"

Kiana looked at the familiar woman. "Rita Rossweisse. I remember you."

Rita simply smiled elegantly. "I'm glad you still remember my name. It must be very difficult wandering outside for so long. On the orders of the Overseer, I am here to invite you back to Schicksal HQ."

Kiana refused decisively. "I'm not going with you."

Rita said, "You should understand that your condition is very unstable. This innocent city is proof of that. Because of your existence, it is frequently attacked by Honkai Beasts."

"Only Schicksal can help you. Return to the laboratory, receive treatment, and no one else will be harmed because of you. This is the best outcome for everyone."

Kiana knew her opponent's strength, but she also knew that with her current power, Rita couldn't capture her easily. Otherwise, she wouldn't be wasting time trying to persuade her.

She stared at Rita and asked seriously, "Which do you think is more important: catching me, or preventing the disaster in this city?"

Rita replied, "Catching you is preventing disaster for this city."

The words had barely been spoken when the fight between them erupted.

As an S-rank Valkyrie, Rita's strength was undeniable. But Kiana could now use a portion of the Herrscher of the Void's power, and her own combat effectiveness was on another level.

The two fought for a short while, but Rita couldn't gain the upper hand.

Kiana pulled away. "Unfortunately for you, catching me won't be easy. Believe it or not, I am not the reason the Honkai are attacking this city."

She tossed a few items to Rita.

"With this evidence, you can see for yourself what Shencheng Pharmaceutical is trying to do."

"I'm not leaving. For me, prevenr heart.ting this disaster is more important than escaping."

"I know you don't trust me, but the choice is in your hands."

After saying that, she vanished from the scene.

Rita did not give chase. As Kiana had said, catching her now would not be easy.

And…

She looked at the medicine syringe in her hand, a vague sense of unease creeping into her heart.

After her investigation, she discovered that it was an activator, based on a vaccine formula provided by Schicksal but modified to significantly improve a person's resistance to Honkai energy.

Combined with the stigmata she found on a Deadwalker during a recent battle, she deduced two possibilities: someone was turning Valkyries into Deadwalkers, or someone was conducting experiments to implant stigmata into ordinary people.
