Chapter 2 - Chapter one: jaden’s morning

Jaden sprawled across his plush bed, surrounded by sleek gaming consoles and gleaming trophies. His phone buzzed with notifications, but he ignored it, too engrossed in his game.

Suddenly, the door burst open, and his personal assistant, Mateo, entered with a crisp bow. "Good morning, Mr. Jaden. Your father requests your presence. He's instructed me to remind you to prepare for school."

Jaden grunted, not looking up from his screen. "Tell him I'm busy."

Mateo's expression remained neutral. "Sir, your father specifically said—"

Jaden tossed his controller aside, eyes narrowing. "I heard you. Tell him I'll get ready when I get ready."

Mateo hesitated before nodding and backing out of the room.

Jaden finally tossed aside his controller and swung his legs over the side of the bed. He strode to his walk-in closet, selecting a crisp white shirt and dark jeans. Mateo reappeared, silently assisting Jaden with his tie and cufflinks.

As Jaden dressed, Mateo laid out his school bag, ensuring everything was in order: textbooks, laptop, and sports gear. Jaden's phone buzzed again, but he ignored it, knowing Amber would be waiting outside.

Downstairs, Jaden's father, Mr. Thompson, stood by the breakfast table, sipping coffee. "Good morning, son. You're running late. Don't forget your meeting with the school principal today."

Jaden nodded curtly, grabbing a pastry and heading out the door. He went to his car black suv and his personal driver drove him to school.

Jaden stepped out of his car, greeted by the bustling hallway. Amber approached him, but he brushed her off. "Excuse me, I have something important to do." He headed to the principal's office, discussing his basketball scholarship.

After the meeting, Jaden entered his classroom, where Mrs. Thompson introduced a new student, Sofia. The class was shocked when Mrs. Thompson instructed Sofia to sit next to Jaden, the only available seat.

Jaden's expression turned stern. "You're sitting here because Mrs. Thompson said so, not because we're friends. Don't disturb me."

The class watched in awe as Sofia took her seat. Amber looked on, surprised by the unexpected pairing.

As the class began, Jaden set the tone: "I'll tolerate your presence, but don't think this means we're friends."
