For the next few minutes, Asher and Kimberley walked with small smiles on their faces as they talked, although Kimberley did most of the talking as she introduced various people to Asher. When she had said she possessed extensive knowledge of all four Empires, she had merely been underestimating her own knowledge.
Asher had to acknowledge that Kimberley might have travelled the entire world at this point, as she seemed to know something about anyone who was even remotely prominent. She had even done more investigation for this Inter-Empire Competition so she could bet and win more money, something Asher himself couldn't understand.
If the Elox family were the richest family in Crymora, he couldn't understand why Kimberley would even want to bet and make more money. She probably spent more than she could ever win. But at the same time, rich people were hard to understand; they did things those of lower financial status couldn't comprehend.
