Darren continued running, Kim smiled, he drew his sword, and turbed to face the elvish demon. The demon had black eyes, black nails and bluish face.
" Get that book and get him too." Kim said.
"Alright boss!" Iron said and went after Darren.
"Oh, so u had a minion in the shadows, sneaky, hahaha." The demon said.
"He's my eyes, he follows me all around. Now you tell me, what brought you here?There's nothing worth your efforts in the West here." Kim asked.
"I can let you in on a secret, but you'll have to die!" The demon said.
Kim kept his sword. He picked up two short curved blades.
"It'll be bad to kill you quickly, let me have my fun with you, I always enjoy weak demons!" Kim said.
"You see this west, it's a wasteland, no human treasures, nothing important, just farmers and peasants, but it's got the most valuable temples burried underground, with many of our kings deep in hibernation, if we awaken anyone of them, it'll tip the balance of the war between the Humans and the Demon Clan. "The demon said." That's more than enough for you to know, lowly Ghost hunter, it's time for you to die!"
The Demon launched an attack, his hands turned into eagle claws, covered with darkness and ice, he went for Kim's chest.
Kim parried the claw with one of the short swords. The demon smiled. He launched another claw, this time going for the neck, Kim used his second sword to slash off the claw, clean at it's wrist. He leaped and kicked straight, using the force to also create space between the two of them.
" Oh, you drew first blood Ghost Hunter, I under estimated you. " The Demon said. " Now it's your your time to die! "
He began morphing, into his origina form, it'd take like a few seconds.
Kim cast a spell on his swords, a small blue flame engulfed the blades, they looked like they were covered in oil and set ablaze.
" It's rare to find a demon to fight, I'll enjoy your death moments and give out your ore to Orphans! " Kim said.
The demon creature had fully transformed into it's original form, it had a pair of wings on it's back, it was two times it's humanoid size, it's limbs all with four claws, it's head was felline, with four canines visible. It had a hallow on it's head, with it's dark aura covering it.
Kim retracted the short swords, he drew his sword, it had a blade glowing in a light blue shade, he waved it and the glow turned to a fiery colour. In his left hand, a rough shield appeared, it floated around him and disappeared.
The demon charged at him, he waved his sword at it, a fire wind blade hit the demon's limb, cutting off one of it's claws clean. The demon didn't seem to feel anything as it continued it's charge. Kim then got his shield, blocked the attack. The impact pushed them both a few steps back. The demon then spit out a black orb, it flew towards Kim. Kim knelt down, and covered his head, a firely bubble covered him, the orb landed on the cover and exploded. Dark flames covered the bubble, but they disappeared.
Kim then rose, he threw his shield at it, aiming for it's chest, it nearly chipped in, but the demon covered it's chest, thereby breaking it's fore limbs, by the tume it turned to face him, it's head was flying, it roled down the floor.
Kim went towards it and cut it's chest open, a blue crystal was covered in black blood.
"Mr. Kim, do you realise the damage you've caused to this city? This library was a bread winner for scholars, the last resort for knowledge seekers in the entire West!"
Erizak said.
"You should well be aware that I don't answer to anyone in the wast, all my actions are legally allowed, and it's you who should answer questions!" Kim said. He dragged the demon outside the library.
"Anyone who has a complaint to make should come with evidence to the governor, any inconveniences will be compensated!"
Cloe came with a carriage. They loaded the demon.
"Iron got Darren, and his family too, he's a ranger and he knows pretty much about all the sites that were attacked." Cloe sais.
" We shall keep him around, tell Rina to keep an eye on him. He's covered in demon aura, check on his family too! " Kim said.
Cloe held his hand a bit, she ast a lightning spell. Lightening crackled at his wrist, he nearly pulled his hand away, but she hugged him.
" You can sneak out and go enjoy with beauties, but fighting a demon of that level is beneath you, I am your bodygaurd, I should atleast fight a bit! " She said.
" Oh, you wicked girl, I thought you were gonna hug this good boy. Don't worry, I will make sure you don't know about it!"He said.
" Not like am going to hug every mad man I get on the street!" She said. She was now facing him, with her face near his.
He gave her a kiss instantly on her lips, and hugged her really tight before she could react, restraining her hands.
" Let go of me, you pervert!" She said." You are dead meat! "
A chill ran down his spin, but he kept his cool. He held her tighter.
" Give me your word!" He said." You aren't going to use that lightning spell on me, after I let go! Swear to me."
Cloe heard this and laughed, she could feel the shiver in his voice. She sighed, and calmed down. This scared Kim even more, he also smiled.
" You are the one I am supposed to protect, you should know more than anyone that I can't attack you!" She said. She looked at him." Besides, you are stronger than me!"
"Give me your word!" Deep down, he knew that there was no way out, he grinned bitterly. "You are not going to like this!"
When Cloe heard this, a look of disgust and helplessness struck her face.
"Please don't!" She said desperately, if you stop now, I'll forget it all! Kim felt an urge in his mind, he kissed her again. She pushed something into his mouth with her tongue. A paralysis struck him, he fell down and he watched his eyes close forcibly.
He opened his eyes, he was tied down onto a bed post, he felt weak. Cloe sat besides him holding a cup with a drink,it was wine, and she kept shaking it in to mix the contents.
" Do you remember our last duel? We're gonna have another one today, no magic, no weapons, just hand to hand combat!" She said.
Kim stared at her, he felt weak. Cloe then made him drink the wine. He still felt weak. Cloe untied one of the ropes binding him .
She them kissed on his lips and turned to leave.
"Get me in the arena for our duel, no spectators, nothing." Cloe said. "Just you and and I, no one else will be informed of the result."
