And it's not like I could blame him, we've been at this for several hours and we've not seen a trace of her. Not even a minute sign that she's been anywhere around here. But still, I didn't want to give up now. I couldn't bring myself to; not when something deep inside of me felt like I was doing the right thing.

I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, ignoring the way Xander turned to me in confusion. By the look on his face, I was sure as hell that he had his questions, but never in my wildest imaginations did I think that the first thing he spewed was what he would ask.
