The air between them had grown thick with tension, so thick it could be sliced clean with a blade.
"Fights aren't won by words, Mr. Rapist," Maria said coldly, her voice like frost cracking across glass. Her voice echoed like a slap across the classroom, slicing through the air. Her eyes were narrowed, venom flashing in them.
But Razeal didn't flinch. He just looked at her quiet, unreadable. Then he leaned forward, face tilting ever so slightly toward hers. Inch by slow inch, he closed the space. His eyes didn't waver or even blinked.
And in that moment, Maria instinctively stepped back.
The very reaction she had been trying to provoke from him... had reversed.
Razeal's lips curled into a smug smile.
"That's your misconception miss water tap," he said with an eerie calmness. "Some fights can be won by words. And for your honor" he gestured casually to her, arms spreading just a little "you just ran into worst of them all."
