Chapter 304 - The Wicked Guard the Divine Might, the Good Earn the Glory

The deafening roar reverberated in all directions.

The tidal waves, originally heading toward the center, were blown back by the terrifying shockwave, sent flying hundreds of meters high into the air, forming a gray wall along with dust and debris.

The entire ground cracked under the impact. Trees in the distant forest were knocked over, and numerous fissures spread across the surface. Lake water quickly rushed into the cracks, and the sound of waves crashing against the rock walls echoed through the chaos.

As for the prison island, the original Glasgow city was shattered along with it. The buildings atop the island crumbled like a sand bowl kicked by a child, scattering into debris.

"What's going on?"

Since everything had occurred at the bottom of the prison island, Guinevere, who was on the other side, had no idea what was happening below.

It wasn't until now, still high up in the sky, that Guinevere suddenly realized his attempt to capture Bagster had failed.

Originally, when a target was captured by the Paru Ball, the owner of the Paru Ball should be able to summon it back at any time. However, no matter how hard Guinevere tried to retrieve the Paru Ball, he couldn't bring back the one he had thrown toward Bagster.

Guinevere's heart sank.

If Bagster hadn't been captured in the ball, did that mean she had taken the full force of the prison island's fall?

Just then, out of the corner of his eye, Guinevere saw a blood-like substance slowly float out from the shattered prison island's cracks and quickly move toward them. It then solidified into Ba Wanxi's form once again.

"Ba Wanxi?" Guinevere quickly asked, "What happened down there?"

"Just now... just now..." Ba Wanxi hesitated for a few seconds before saying, "I was about to trap Lancelot, but she broke me apart. Then Bagster saw her trying to run and knocked the Paru Ball away, took the ring, and trapped Lancelot in my place..."

"This... damn it..."

Guinevere took a deep breath, feeling dizzy.

Though he hadn't spent much time with Bagster, just from their short meeting, she had left a deep impression on him.

From the beginning, when she didn't want to draw her sword against him, to later, after regaining her memories, standing by his side without hesitation during Lancelot's attack, holding off Lancelot to buy time for them, and even sacrificing herself to pull off their desperate combination attack.

Such a great favor was something Guinevere could never forget.

But now, had she really died because of their attack?

He couldn't accept this.

"Well, Guinevere, you don't have to be so upset," Altria suddenly said, "Honestly... even though I feel this might not be normal, but I just have this feeling that Bagster won't die so easily."

Recalling her past experiences with Bagster, Altria said seriously, "She's definitely still alive. Bagster's not the kind of person who can die so easily... Let's go find her! She's still alive!"

[Following Altria's suggestion, you begin to search through the ruins of the prison island.]

[Finally, in a corner of the ruins, you sense a faint magical presence.]

[You immediately start digging through the soil covering the area.]

"I'll do it!"

Perhaps out of guilt for losing her grip at the crucial moment, leading to Bagster stepping in, Ba Wanxi, who had previously never gotten along with Bagster, became unusually proactive this time. She quickly began manipulating the surrounding lake water and rolled up the debris from the surface.

[After digging for several hours, you finally break through the soil and uncover the barely conscious Bagster.]

"Oh! We found her! She's here!"

Seeing Bagster, battered and barely alive, Ba Wanxi cried out in excitement.

However, Bagster looked exceptionally miserable. Her armor was almost reduced to scrap metal, her horns broken, her body covered in blood and mud. One of her arms had bent the wrong way, clearly broken.

But considering that she had just withstood the fall of an entire island, it was amazing that she was still alive. Her endurance was truly jaw-dropping.

But just as the group was about to pull her out, Bagster groggily woke up, and upon seeing the excited group, she froze for half a second before urgently shouting:

"Wait! Quickly bury this place! Lancelot is still alive—"

Before she could finish, there was a sudden sound of crackling from deeper within the ruins, and the next second, the ground beneath their feet cracked open. A bolt of lightning shot up from below, sending everyone flying.

"Damn it!"

Guinevere quickly scrambled to his feet and cursed under his breath—he had been distracted by Bagster's survival and forgotten that with Lancelot's dragon-like regenerative powers, if Bagster survived, why couldn't Lancelot?

Or maybe it wasn't that he hadn't thought of it, but subconsciously, he had chosen to ignore that possibility. If he was too afraid to rescue Bagster, his benefactor, in case it gave Lancelot a second chance, he wouldn't be able to live with himself.

But just as he was about to counterattack, a dark long spear pierced through the air, immediately impaling Guinevere's chest, pinning him to the ground. At the end of the spear, a battered Lancelot clung to the spear's end, glaring at him fiercely.

And just as she was about to swing the spear again to cleave Guinevere in two, a golden giant sword phantom suddenly descended from the sky with Bagster's roar:

"Demacia's Justice!"

[Skill: Demacia's Justice A+]

[With honor in heart, unwavering faith, and the will of Demacia, strike the target with a holy sword to end its sins. This skill inflicts additional damage based on the percentage of health the target has already lost. The more health the enemy has lost, the higher the damage.]
