Chapter 198 - Chapter 198: The Traitor's Death and Capturing the Occamy

Newt threw out a small bag of Galleons, the gold coins glinting under the dim tavern light.

"Not enough, nowhere near what MACUSA offered," Gnarlak said, placing the cigar between his yellowed teeth.

Newt then produced a Lunascope and several Ashwinder eggs, but Gnarlak just smiled dismissively at the offerings.

"What about this?" Newt said, lifting up the bound Aiden.

"Wait, is this the dragon-man who appeared at MACUSA?" Gnarlak's eyes lit up with sudden greed.

"Yes, she was badly injured after breaking out of MACUSA, and we managed to capture her," Newt and Tina said, lowering their heads to hide the amusement in their eyes.

"A Prewett dragon-man, and female too. Finally... finally!" Gnarlak reached out with trembling hands to touch Aiden.

"Hahaha, this time I can get back everything I lost. Just by bringing back a dragon-man..." Gnarlak was already imagining his fellow goblins in distant lands looking at him with admiration.

"Give her to me, and I'll tell you the information you need," Gnarlak extended his grasping hand.

"Take her," Newt handed Aiden over without hesitation, showing no sign of reluctance.

Immersed in the thrill of capturing such a rare prize, Gnarlak didn't notice Newt's suspicious lack of concern.

He looked at Aiden on the bar with burning eyes. "Something invisible is wreaking havoc in the corridors of Fifth Avenue. You might want to check the Macy's building."

Then he ordered his subordinates to come over and carry away the supposedly 'powerless' Aiden.

"Oh, and one more thing about MACUSA's Graves. Do you have any other intelligence about him?" Newt asked casually.

"No, no, no, one dragon-man isn't worth such a high price," Gnarlak said, narrowing his eyes as his goblin greed showed clearly.

"MACUSA is here!" the house-elf at the door shouted, then vanished instantly.

The bar immediately erupted into chaos. Tina slapped the table and stood up. "You actually leaked information to them!"

Gnarlak let out a sinister laugh of triumph.

"Rip!" The sound of fabric tearing came from behind Gnarlak.

A pair of huge heterochromatic dragon eyes were staring intently at him, while his two goblin subordinates lay pinned to the ground by massive dragon claws, their fate uncertain.

"Mr. Gnarlak, the Prewetts send their regards," the dragon said, its mouth curving into a predatory smile.

The silver dragon opened its huge maw, invisible energy directly impacting Gnarlak. Magic mixed with breath destroyed his spirit and mind completely. This was the first time Aiden had used his full power since his advancement.

"Dragon!" An Auror spotted the creature in the bar and shouted in alarm.

Other Aurors were drawn by the cry and raised their wands, firing spells at the dragon in the center of the tavern.

Colorful spells flew toward Aiden like deadly lightning. Spell after spell pierced the dragon's scales and flesh, but instead of blood, a shower of silver butterflies erupted from each wound.

In the blink of an eye, the giant dragon exploded into thousands of butterflies, and a silver-haired young man walked out from their center.

He held a silver-white rose in his right hand. The Aurors felt this scene was disturbingly familiar.

The dragon-man brought the rose to his nose, his lips parted slightly, and the scene from the Ministry breakthrough was repeated with deadly precision.

Holy shit echoed through the minds of over a dozen Aurors.

The invisible breath annihilated their resistance, and the Aurors once again experienced the feeling of having their spirits pierced by supernatural force.

Folding his wings, Aiden returned to normal. Newt rushed over, grabbed Aiden's arm, and Disapparated them away.

On Fifth Avenue at Macy's department store, the group walked down the busy street looking around for anything unusual.

"Did you kill those people?" Jacob asked, catching up to Aiden.

"No, just gave them a lesson they won't forget," Aiden shook his head. "Did they think I didn't know what evil they were harboring? They just covet the Prewett bloodline."

"What do you mean?" Jacob asked with growing curiosity.

"Simply put, MACUSA wanted to drag me away for breeding purposes," Aiden said, rolling his eyes.

"Breed..." Jacob was about to laugh but was intimidated by Aiden's withering glare.

"Here, come quickly," Newt called, pointing to a luxury item in the department store that was floating by itself.

"Demiguise are generally peaceful, though they'll bite if provoked," Newt explained, leading the group to hide behind mannequins.

The invisible creature stopped in front of the stairs and revealed its ape-like form.

The five followed it upstairs to the second floor, where the Demiguise stopped in what appeared to be an empty room.

"Demiguise can perceive probable future events. It's my fault. I thought there was only one creature left, but I didn't expect it was caring for a baby," Newt said, walking to the center and setting down his case.

"Baby?" Tina asked, puzzled. Looking up, an enormous Occamy occupying the entire warehouse space lowered its serpentine head.

"Oh!" Tina gasped as the Demiguise gently fed the massive creature some candy.

Suddenly, the Demiguise's eyes glowed bright blue. It had foreseen Jacob about to sneeze and startle the Occamy.

It immediately ran toward Aiden at top speed and hid firmly behind him.

Understanding the Demiguise's warning, Aiden looked up and tried to cover Jacob's mouth, but it was already too late.

"Achoo!" The sneeze echoed through the warehouse. The Occamy was startled and began writhing rapidly in agitation.

The massive serpent slithered toward Aiden, who stretched out both hands to catch its charging advance.

Its enormous size gave the Occamy considerable strength, and Aiden's feet carved two deep tracks in the wooden floor.

Then the Occamy suddenly twisted and flung Aiden across the room.

Newt took the opportunity to leap onto the creature's neck.

"Need an insect and a teapot," Newt shouted, barely managing to maintain his grip on the Occamy's thrashing neck.

Aiden released his dragon's aura, causing all the cockroaches on the ground to faint from terror. Jacob seized the opportunity to grab one.

Then he was knocked into the shelves by the Occamy's massive body. Just as he was about to complain, he noticed a piercing gaze fixed on him.

Jacob looked up to see the Occamy directly above, staring intently at the insect in his hand, while Tina grabbed a decorative teapot from a nearby shelf.

"Throw it, Jacob!" Aiden shouted.

Jacob threw the insect toward Aiden.

"Not at me, you fool!" Aiden's usual good manners instantly cracked.

"Teapot, come!" Aiden raised his hand and directly summoned the teapot from Tina's grasp.

The cockroach traced a perfect arc through the air, and the Occamy shot upward, chasing after its prey.

During the chase, the magical creature grew smaller and smaller until it was finally captured by the teapot.

Aiden's magic flowed around the container, transforming the teapot into a completely sealed porcelain sphere with several air holes.

The exhausted group sat gasping on the storage floor of the department store that had been thoroughly destroyed by the Occamy's rampage.

Tina turned back to ask Newt with pointed suspicion, "Tell me honestly, have you found all the creatures that escaped from the case?"

"Yes, this was the last one. I swear it's the truth," Newt vowed solemnly, meeting her gaze directly.
