Chapter 196 - Chapter 196: Infiltration, Rescue, and Plan

Queenie entered MACUSA, passed through complex security checks, and arrived at her workstation with practiced ease.

She looked around casually, pretended to yawn, and greeted the witch at the neighboring desk.

"Hi, Ruby, I'm feeling a bit tired. Can I rest for a moment, just a little while?"

"No problem, go ahead and rest. If the supervisor comes, I'll wake you," Queenie's workplace partner nodded without suspicion.

Queenie lay down at her workstation, secretly administered a small dose of Draught of Living Death to herself, and quickly fell into a deep sleep.

Outside MACUSA headquarters, Aiden approached a random pedestrian on the bustling street.

"Well hello there, little one. How can I help you?" The man was completely unaware of the approaching danger.

"I'm sorry about this, sir. I'll make it up to you somehow. Stupefy.""

As Aiden grasped the man's hand, red light flickered to life, coursing beneath his skin like glowing veins before he collapsed unconscious.

Aiden dragged him into a nearby alley, activated his dream infiltration power, and dove into the man's subconscious realm.

An ordinary adult male's dreams contained some rather unspeakable fantasies that Aiden chose to ignore.

He couldn't afford distractions now. Entering the dream fully, he activated his dream jumping technique.

Following the currents of the collective unconscious sea, Aiden slipped seamlessly into Queenie's waiting dream.

"Wow, so British wizards can actually do this kind of thing," Queenie exclaimed with excitement on her consciousness island.

"Miss, do you remember that your sister was arrested?" Aiden asked, black lines appearing on his forehead.

"Oh, yes." Queenie's expression sobered immediately.

Aiden emerged from Queenie's dream, appeared beside her sleeping form, and used his wand to remove the potion's lingering effects.

"Let's go, time to act," Aiden said, entering psychological invisibility.

Queenie led the way through corridors and up stairs toward the main entrance, where a memory eraser was escorting Jacob toward the exit.

Queenie approached with practiced confidence. "Sam, they need you to go downstairs. I'll give him the practical memory erasure treatment."

"You don't have the authority to—" Sam was about to protest when he suddenly fell unconscious.

Aiden had already infiltrated his consciousness, successfully manipulating the memory eraser and activating puppet mode.

"It's me, let's go," 'Sam' said to Queenie in his own voice but with Aiden's mannerisms.

"Mercy Lewis, you people are truly terrifying," Queenie sighed with a shiver.

The controlled Sam led Jacob around a corner toward the stairs.

"You're not erasing my memory anymore? And what's going on with you?" Jacob asked, looking at 'Sam' with confusion.

"I told you I'd come to rescue you," 'Sam' winked with Aiden's characteristic mischief.

"Ha." Jacob laughed quietly, then quickly lowered his voice and looked around nervously.

"We're on the same team now," Queenie said, moving closer to Jacob as the two exchanged meaningful glances.

"Ahem, mind the influence—there's a young wizard present," 'Sam' interrupted with mock disapproval.

Both of them rolled their eyes at the possessed Sam.

"Where's Newt's case?" Queenie asked, getting back to business.

"That guy called Graves took it," Jacob answered grimly.

Meanwhile, in MACUSA's stark interrogation room, tension filled the air.

"You're quite interesting, Mr. Scamander. You were expelled from Hogwarts because your magical creatures endangered wizards," 'Graves' said, sitting rigidly upright.

"That was an accident, sir."

Newt tried to argue, but 'Graves' interrupted him with a wave.

"Shh, one of your teachers defended you repeatedly. So what made Albus Dumbledore like you so much?" Graves asked with calculated interest.

"I don't know." Newt shook his head, genuinely puzzled.

"So releasing a bunch of dangerous creatures in New York was also an accident? Exposing wizards, inciting potential war?" Graves lowered his head in apparent sadness.

"You mean mass slaughter for the greater good? I'm not a Grindelwald follower," Newt said, seeming to see through something important.

'Graves' unconsciously nodded yes, then quickly tried to cover his slip.

"I hope you can explain this to me, Mr. Scamander."

'Graves' raised his hand, and an Obscurus wrapped in a silver containment field floated over ominously.

"No, this is an Obscurus, but I separated it from that Sudanese girl when I tried to save her life. Without a host, it can't interact with the outside world, or it will quickly dissipate into nothing."

Newt turned around excitedly, explaining to Tina with passionate conviction.

"I see, so it's useless without a host?" 'Graves' sighed with apparent disappointment.

"Useless? This power parasitically eroded and killed a child. What could you possibly need it for?" Newt looked up with growing horror.

"You can't fool anyone anymore. You brought an Obscurus to New York, trampled our laws, and incited war. So you'll both be sentenced to death," 'Graves' stood up, pronouncing judgment with cold finality.

Tina and Newt were escorted by two executioners to the dreaded execution chamber.

From upstairs, Queenie's enhanced hearing picked up her sister's distant screams.

Mercy Lewis, they're about to execute Tina!" Queenie's eyes flashed red with frantic desperation.

"You two retrieve the case while I follow and investigate," 'Sam' directed.

The group dispersed once more with practiced efficiency."

Following the passage downward, 'Sam' reached the execution chamber just as Tina was being positioned above the deadly dissolution pool.

"Hey, Sam, you came to watch the execution too?" One of the executioners seemed to know him well.

"Oh, Ceci, yes," 'Sam' nodded casually.

"Then you'd better be careful not to get splashed by the dissolution liquid. Nasty stuff," Ceci warned kindly.

A transparent Aiden slipped into Ceci's consciousness, exploring his memories with growing disgust.

Another Saint, and a black ops specialist handling dirty work for Grindelwald. Aiden frowned at what he discovered.

Without hesitation, Sam moved behind Ceci, lifted his foot, and sent him tumbling into the dissolution pool.

"Ah!" Ceci's cry lasted exactly one second before being cut short.

"Sam, what are you doing!" The two remaining executioners drew their wands and cast spells at their seemingly traitorous colleague.

At this crucial moment, the Bowtruckle on Newt's hand had already picked the locks on his chains, and Newt used the heavy shackles to knock away one executioner's wand.

Aiden leaped out from Sam's consciousness in his true form, his tail wrapping around the dark-skinned executioner's neck and slamming her into the stone wall.

"Tina, jump down, I'll catch you," Newt called to his suspended colleague.

Aiden grabbed the last executioner and delivered a physical version of the Stunning Spell.

Looking up, he saw Newt and Tina already embracing with obvious relief and growing affection.

Aiden whistled sharply, disrupting their intimate moment, and they hurriedly straightened their disheveled clothes.

"Now, if you two would kindly make your exit?" Aiden bowed and made a theatrical gesture toward the door.

The three ran out of the execution chamber. At the same moment, Jacob's enthusiastic kick to Graves' office door triggered MACUSA's alarm system once again.

Multiple Aurors burst forth and launched stunning spells at Newt. Aiden casually snapped his fingers.

Psychic storms rode the sound waves, radiating outward like unseen tsunamis. The Aurors struck by the mental assault seized violently before crumpling to the ground."

After Queenie successfully retrieved Newt's precious case, she brought Jacob toward the execution chamber at a dead run.

The five fugitives finally converged at a corridor intersection.

"All exits are blocked," Queenie announced breathlessly.

"So how do we escape?" Tina asked, scanning their surroundings frantically.

"What about the case?" Jacob offered with cautious hope.

"Won't work. After breaching MACUSA's security twice, they'll search everything with a fine-tooth comb," Aiden replied, rubbing his chin in thought.

"Then what's our plan?" Newt pressed with mounting concern.

"Simple," the dragon emerged from the shadows with a dangerously confident grin, "we fight our way out."
