Chapter 189 - Chapter 189: Future and Past

When Aiden brought his team to Sellafield, it was already too late. Many weathered corpses were scattered across the ground like grotesque sculptures.

Oliver took out an instrument and went forward to scan the area. "There's the power of the Deep Realm King here."

"Let's go take a look inside," Aiden said, waving his hand as his staff materialized.

Entering the interior of the nuclear power plant, they found themselves in a massive space filled with a technological atmosphere. In the center of the reactor hall stood a huge reactor pressure vessel, surrounded by layers of protective structures. Around it were intricate pipes and equipment, connecting the reactor and cooling system, forming a precise industrial network.

On a high platform, a group of Deep Realm King worshippers were conducting a ritual inside the nuclear power plant. The worshippers' religious ceremony combined with the nuclear facility's technological reactions created an inexplicably absurd scene.

These worshippers were all kneeling and worshipping a crystal stone in the center, turning a deaf ear to the arriving group of Unspeakables.

Aiden casually picked up a believer to examine and found that the man had literally become empty-brained.

"These people don't even have brains anymore. How did they manage to break through the guards and get in here to have their little party?" Oliver wondered after checking these people's condition.

"Perhaps we can marvel at the steadfastness of these people's faith?" Aiden joked darkly.

"There's no way to save these people anymore. Give them a quick end," Oliver said to the Unspeakables behind him.

Aiden also raised his wand, preparing to help them find relief. But just then, the person kneeling at the front suddenly stood up, and the crystal stone flew straight into his brain.

Then he opened his mouth, and a strange tone echoed throughout the nuclear power plant.

"от техидле (Our mortal enemy)"

The moment he spoke, surrounding objects began aging at an extremely rapid pace.

"тафос агамалухгорсай, ара? горат калЭфо (Since we cannot defeat the future you, then we shall kill the past you.)"

A golden bubble appeared, wrapping Aiden inside, with silver ribbons bound around the bubble, inscribed with ancient runes.

"Aiden!"

Oliver wanted to rush forward, but the protective measures around the reactor were completely eroded by time, causing massive radiation leakage. Oliver took a direct hit from the radiation, his body went limp, and he couldn't organize an effective attack.

The other Unspeakables struggled to take Oliver away from the contaminated area.

Aiden was pulled by the golden bubble, sinking into the Deep Realm.

Deep Realm Third Layer, the Silent Plain

The golden bubble descended from the sky, and the entire Silent Plain trembled due to its arrival. The earth was cracking, and behemoths were rising from the dark crevices.

A huge clock composed of endless nebulae and black holes entered Aiden's sight. The clock had twelve pairs of wings around it, and the hands seemed to be movable soft matter.

Carrying distortion and corruption, the Deep Realm King called Entropy appeared. But strangely, the clock's surface seemed to have multiple damaged areas, and there was even a huge crack running through the dial.

The hands twisted toward Aiden. Just at this critical moment, a sound of glass shattering filled the air, and huge dragon claws descended from the sky, pressing Entropy back into the cracks.

A silver-white giant dragon with heterochromatic pupils appeared. It had two membrane wings on its back, and mysterious three-dimensional symbols were inscribed on its silver-white scales.

The giant dragon extended inward to flesh and blood and outward to the surrounding void, as if weaving into something that didn't belong to reality. The giant dragon also carried distortion, causing mental disorder just by looking at it, its spirit stained with various heartfelt thoughts.

The scales on the dragon's body turned into flowing light, coming before Aiden. The light took shape in front of him, gradually becoming a silver-haired man.

This man looked like an older version of Aiden, wearing white wizard robes, just without those conspicuous dragon horns. He stroked his chin and examined Aiden with familiar eyes.

"Ha, look at you, becoming arrogant after advancing to demigod."

The man's opening words carried a familiar scoundrel aura, but unfortunately Aiden inside the bubble couldn't move; otherwise, he really wanted to give him an eye roll.

The two presented a harmonious scene here, while the giant dragon and clock were engaged in cosmic battle.

"Entropy has come here, so 'I' need to fight him. Because of 'my' special nature, having both 'me' and you exist in the same spacetime would cause chaos, so I'm sending you back to the past."

The man waved his hand, and a small church made of bones from different races flew toward Aiden.

"By the way, treasure your time with the system."

The man looked gently at the gem on Aiden's neck, then raised his hand to invade the golden bubble around him.

The distant giant dragon also cooperated by breaking off one of the clock's hands and throwing it here. Under the power of the same source, the hand was stuffed into Aiden's shadow.

Soon, the bubble was completely invaded and had turned completely silver. The man made a grasping gesture with his palm, and an identical staff appeared in his hand. He recited an ancient incantation.

Aiden began to feel the scenery around him stretching, rapidly retreating backward. Then he fell into darkness.

1926

The flying newspapers showed this was an unsettled year.

"Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald sweeps across Europe," "Hogwarts: Increased Security Measures," "Drink Gigglewater, Song Accompanies Your Joy."

"Grindelwald attacks, escalating wizard and No-Maj war threats," "Magical creature ownership continues to be banned in America"

"Magic exposure index reaches historic high," "Anti-wizard sentiment rising," "President Picquery speaks out, calls for all parties to remain calm."

"Where is Grindelwald?" English, German, French... the headlines screamed from every paper.

The view came to a ship heading to America, where a man in a blue coat picked up his worn suitcase.

"Dougal, be quiet, please. It won't be too long," he said softly.

The suitcase seemed to respond by bulging up twice, as if something inside was moving.

The man lay on the suitcase, listening to the sounds of creatures within. Suddenly, an unconscious boy materialized from ethereal to solid beside him, the small dragon horns on the boy's head immediately catching the man's attention.

The man frowned, looked around cautiously, took out his wand, and used Confundus Charms on the people nearby.

"Child," he reached out and gently shook the boy, but there was no response.

The man opened his suitcase and carefully placed the boy inside.

"Dougal, help me take care of this child," the man tapped the suitcase.

Then, the ship docked, and the man brought his suitcase to customs.

"Newt Artemis Fido Scamander, British?" the customs officer asked, examining his papers.

"Yes," Newt nodded.

"Is there any food in the case, or any livestock?" the officer looked suspiciously at his battered suitcase.

But just then, the case uncooperatively shifted slightly.

"Let me see," the officer said with growing interest.

"Oh, of course."

Newt put the case on the table, switching to what he hoped was convincing Muggle mode.

The officer checked his case superficially, and after confirming there were no obvious problems, returned the passport to Newt.

"Welcome to New York."

"Thank you."
