After that, Lucas and Sahara met Kara and finalized their contract. She was surprised that Daemon had found a way to—undoubtedly—force them to sign. She herself had failed to recruit Eden, who had joined Setsuna's faction, and Ingrid hadn't joined any faction at all. Everything was unfolding exactly as Daemon had planned. For now, at least. Still, she had managed to recruit about a dozen pawns, though they were far less talented than them.
"I also need to find a way to influence Tess, the Neko. I don't want to get directly involved, but it'd be a waste not to farm her before Ingrid takes her as a subordinate," he thought as he headed back to his dorm.
