The leader showed an sad expression and he also nodded to agree.
Then he waved his hand. "Then let's go back to the city and first inform the city guards. I know some people in the city guards. They will help us spread the news."
All of them stood up and was about to start heading back to the city.
Then, from nowhere, two man in mask appeared in front of them and blocked their way.
Seeing the two man in mask, all the hunters showed an uneasy expression.
The leader bowed to the two man and said. "May I aks why the two gentlemen blocking our way. Is there anything you guys need from us."
Even though he said calmly, the leader was sweating his whole body. He knows the two man are not good news.
One the man in mask smile inwardly and said in a cold voice. "You guys are trying to screw us and you got the nerve to ask why are we blocking your way. Of course we are not letting you guys return to the city. We are not fools like you mortals."
When the man in the mask said that, the faces of the mortal hunters were filled with despair.
But the leader showed a fake puzzled look and said cautiously. "We don't understand what these two gentlemen are talking about?"
The other hunters also nodded quickly and added. "Yes.. we don't understand what you are saying?"
"Humph...lying in front of my face. We already heard you guys talking about spreading the news." One the man in mask said coldly.
Seeing the back and forth talking, the other man in the mask put his hand on his companions shoulder. Then he said flatly. "Stop wasting time, talking to these useless mortals. Let's just finish our job report back to steward Si."
The other man also nodded. Then they ran towards the mortals to silence them.
The two man's action made the hunters alarmed. The other four hunters quickly ran in front of their leader. And the burly man quickly said. "Boss, you run to the city. We will fend them off."
Then they ran towards the oncoming masked man. The leader also tried to ran.
Before they could even put up a fight, they were killed easily by the two masked man.

Seeing the situation, the leader quickly dropped his weapon, dropped down to his knees and put up his hands in the air. He surrendered.
He quickly pleaded to the masked men. "Please don't kill me. I am not with them."
The leader's words caught the two masked me off guard. They thought the leader might put up some fight or atleast attempt to. But they did not expect him to be a coward and quickly surrendered.
One of them said mockingly. "Who would have thought that you would be a coward. Your teammates sacrificed their lifes just for a coward. Say what would they think if they see you pleading like that."
The leader quickly. "Sir, please don't say like that. They were just some fools. I did not like them in the first place. I was going to bring them to the city and report them to the Li clan. I never intended to spread the news."
The two masked men looked at eachother with surprise.
Seeing that, the leader hurriedly added some more words. "You guys can believe. If not you guys can ask steward Si. I have been working for him for more than 5 years. He knows me fully. And he can clear me."
"If what you are saying is true, then why are you here?" One of them said
suspiciously.
"Steward Si ordered me to follow them and monitor their actions. That's why I'm a with them." He hurriedly explained.
One of the masked man said. "Whether it is true or not, we will know it once we meet steward Si." Then he grabbed the hunter and was about to leave with him.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a blade pierced through the man who was about to leave with the hunter.

The man quickly fell to the ground. His eyes rolled around to see what happened. Then he died.
He did not even knew what killed him.
The incident was too quick, so the two remaining men did not even have time to properly react.
They quickly looked at the dead man and quickly turned around to look in panic.
The remaining masked man shouted. "WHO IS IT?COME OUT NOW. DON'T BE A COWARD. COME FACE ME."
But no one answered him.
The one who killed the man was Ji Yen. He sneak attacked the man because he did not want to expose himself.
