Chapter 22 - Strongest Attack

The fish were red in color, and their names contained the word Angry. That alone clearly described what they were like.

Zhen had just begun to enter the lake when several medium-sized Angry Red Fish lunged at him, mouths wide open, ready to bite.

They had rows of teeth that resembled thorns, and their mouths appeared to possess incredibly strong jaws.

Zhen thought that even if he were bitten by an Angry Red Fish with a lower level than his, he might still be seriously injured.

However, with his flying sword, it was easy for him to dodge their charges.

Even so, he didn't attack. Not even when faced with Level 10 Angry Red Fish—he wasn't interested in fighting them.

He only targeted the three Level 11 Angry Red Fish, aiming to kill them all at once. So, he had to conceal his strength at first to keep them from getting too wary.

He flew closer to them, but not too close.

ROAR!

One of them roared at him.

The roar produced a shockwave that pushed hard against his back.

Then the others shot massive water bullets at him.

They were fast.

"Shit!" Zhen cursed, realizing that his only way to evade was to dive into the lake.

And so, he plunged into the lake—which turned out to be crystal clear once he was beneath the surface.

The lake was very deep, and he found many more Angry Red Fish inside. There were even two others as long as 50 meters.

They were also Level 11, and he didn't see any that were bigger.

However, it was the bottom of the lake that left him stunned.

He saw a gigantic statue of an Angry Red Fish's head—it alone took up nearly half the lake.

It was just a statue, but it looked alive, with glowing red eyes.

Zhen wondered who could have made it, but he couldn't think about that now.

Hundreds of Angry Red Fish were chasing after him, led by the three Level 11 ones.

In the water, they were extremely fast and savage.

"Hmph!" Zhen snorted coldly—this was the moment to strike back.

He transformed both of his hands into dragon claws.

To his surprise, with that form, he felt completely at home in the water. He could breathe and move freely, as if he had become a fish himself.

Gripping his sword with both hands, he slashed forward with great force—just once, but with the full extent of his power.

Break!

Thirty-eight sword slashes erupted, roaring ferociously, splitting the lake into thirty-eight sections all the way to the edges.

The Golden Crow perched on a tree branch was stunned as it witnessed the scene.

Shua! Shua! Shua!

Everything happened quickly. The slashes tore through countless Angry Red Fish, including many Level 10s, while the remaining slashes split into three groups, each targeting one of the Level 11 Angry Red Fish.

They were too close, and the slashes too fast. They couldn't dodge at all.

Because the lake had been divided into 38 parts, the Golden Crow could clearly see everything happening below.

Its eyes widened as the slashes began to slice through the three giant fish.

"A truly dangerous killing technique," it muttered.

DING!

(You have killed three Level 11 Beasts. You have gained 300 System Points!)

(You have killed twenty Level 10 Beasts, you have gained 200 System Points!)

[System Points: 527]

Zhen instantly received two notifications.

Even though he only attacked the three Level 11 Angry Red Fish, the effects of his attacks killed many other Angry Red Fish, including twenty Level 10 ones.

Zhen himself hadn't expected his attack to be so devastating. He wasn't even sure if the strongest attack of a Third Stage Earth Master could match it. They would still need time to take down three Level 11 Beasts.

The reason for this massive boost in power likely lay in his cultivation, the Tier 2 weapon he used, and a significant increase in his Dragon Qi.

Because the three Level 11 Angry Red Fish had been sliced into countless pieces, he quickly located each of their Spirit Cores.

Whoosh!

He swam quickly toward them, collecting them one by one.

His eyes turned toward the other Angry Red Fish from different parts of the lake, furiously chasing after him due to the massacre he had caused.

It seemed they had a strong sense of solidarity and were not frightened by how terrifying his attack had been.

Unfortunately for Zhen, that attack had drained much of his Qi.

He didn't respond to them and chose instead to swim to the edge.

"If only I had a way to quickly recover my stamina and vitality," he thought.

Of course, his stamina and vitality were very strong due to the Eternal Dragon Scripture.

However, the attack he had unleashed was far beyond his current cultivation.

Other Scriptures likely couldn't support him to that level.

At most, they'd only support half of it.

As for the Time Control Scripture and Space Dao Scripture, both were not power-based scriptures. They were about controlling space and time, but didn't actually make the user's body stronger.

Still, since space and time were the two most fundamental elements of the world, control over either one allowed for techniques that were nearly unmatched—thus, both were considered even more valuable than the Eternal Dragon Scripture.

'Luckily the sword held up this time. But if I reach the Earth Master Realm, I fear this sword might break if I use that technique again,' Zhen thought as he looked at his still-intact sword.

He then used it to fly away quickly.

Whoosh!

He shot toward the forest, worried that the Angry Red Fish might follow him onto land.

However, they didn't leave the lake.

Fish were still fish in the end—unless perhaps they reached a certain level.

Even so, Zhen looked for a hidden place before finally stopping.

The Golden Crow had already appeared in front of him, staring in awe—somewhere between amazement and disbelief.

"Did you see it now?" Zhen said with a proud tone.

"Boy, you're truly unpredictable," the Golden Crow replied.
