In the grove, the trees grew vigorously, with broad, lush leaves sheltering the path and blocking out the scorching summer heat. Stepping into the shadows brought a bit of coolness.

She looked around, her gaze searching for a familiar figure from her memory. It was class time, the senior students were in remedial classes, not in sports, no student shadows could be seen, not even the crew members.
