First, he asked about their master, Liam Fonseca, and then he asked about their daily training and life, hoping to gather some material and inspiration from the conversation.
As they chatted, the three mentioned the incidents of several martial arts masters arguing and betting in their group, finding it somewhat amusing.
"True to their martial arts background, every one of them has quite a temper," Deputy Director Coin gave them a thumbs-up.
The program's initial idea was for them to keep things light, with a focus on performance.
But the feedback was that these masters wouldn't have it, saying that it would be a disgrace to fake during a martial arts contest, sullying the honor of the Martial World upon their return.
