Life both changed and remained the same after having sex with Hiashi for the first time.
What changed the most, was the awareness that so many people within the clan knew about it, and well, they weren't shy about letting us know.
Some were subtle about it, others were very open about it, though those were either friends, or the main family. Those weren't even hiding it. Some elders of the main family even congratulated us.
Some just mentioned tricks to clean stains off wood, no doubt hinting at the stains that still marked the side of Hiashi's desk.
Yet, despite the added embarrassment, nothing really changed all that much.
Days were still the same, work, training, and more of the same.
Still, I had mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I was hot as fuck, using the Byakugan for sex was the best thing ever. Seeing your own insides getting filled like that, holy hell is that hot, even more so, knowing that others were watching it as well, I couldn't help but like it.
Strange as that might be, there was just something exciting about it, and I knew I wasn't the only one who enjoyed that feeling of exposure.
Living in a village, or just a clan of shinobi, means everyone around you has sharp senses. People who could smell anything, hear or see anything.
Pretty much no matter where you lived within Konoha, with few exceptions, you had very little privacy, and this wasn't something new.
Even when everyone was just living in small clans, even within non-sensor clans, any shinobi at least at warrior level would be able to hear what their neighbours got up to.
Only maybe the Usumaki clan was able to use seals to fully block such things, most other clans could only block spying for important meetings and locations.
Very few places had some kind of permanent blocking to keep out something like the Byakugan, even in Konoha.
So while the village system did change things a little, such as suddenly having to be worried about the Hyūga clan seeing you get naughty, other than just your neighbour hearing it.
But without a doubt, all clan shinobi knew that privacy was rare, which, funnily enough, meant many left their homes to do the deed outside, going off into the surrounding forests of the village for a bit more privacy, despite civilian shinobi seeing this as something extreme.
They would learn.
"What are you thinking so deeply about?"
I looked up, my mom was standing there, watching my face.
"Are you sure you aren't a shinobi? Able to sneak around like that."
She snorted. "You learn a thing or two from being married to one, not to mention giving birth to the best Kunoichi in the village. But no, it wasn't me who was sneaking about, but you who were deep in thought."
I leaned back and sighed. "I was just thinking… about well… Hiashi and… sex, and the Byakugan."
As soon as my words felt, she brightened up and moved in surprising speed as she sat down next to me and gripped my hands in hers. "Oh, so you finally got together with him?"
I blinked. "You are a bit more excited about this than I expected."
"Of course!" she said, almost bouncing on the cushion. "I mean, I have been so worried for months now, if you two got along well. It looked like it, but it's always so hard to say with you shinobi, so I worried, worried if you were happy with him."
I let her squeeze my hands as she spoke. It wasn't often she got like this—bubbly, breathless, almost giddy.
"I am happy," I said softly. "Though I'm not sure Hiashi knows what to do with me half the time."
"Oh, honey," she laughed, "surely you have noticed that the men of our clan are as dense when it comes to love and sex as their chakra. The denser the chakra, the denser in love, and well, Hiashi got pretty dense chakra."
I snorted at that idea, it wasn't anything new, but she still always managed to say it in new amusing ways. "His chakra isn't the only thing that is dense."
My mom almost squealed, "Tell me everything!"
I raised an eyebrow at her. "Everything?"
"Yes! Spare no detail! I want to know how the mighty Hiashi Hyūga fumbles in bed like every other proud, repressed clan heir."
"Oh gods," I groaned, covering my face with both hands. "You say that like you've been hoping for this."
"I've been praying for this. Yuki, I fear every time you go out on a mission that you won't return, so I hope, I pray that you will give me a grandchild soon, so you won't be going out all the time."
"Well," I muttered between my fingers, "I won't give him one just yet, that stuff has to wait until after the war, but we are starting to practice."
"That's my girl," she said proudly, giving me a pat on the shoulder. "So? How was it?"
I peeked at her from between my hands. "We may or may not have broken part of the desk. Also, I'm pretty sure there are bruises on the back of my thighs in the shape of clan stamps."
Mom's eyes widened. "So that's where the ink stains came from."
I made a strangled noise and threw a pillow at her.
She caught it, laughing so hard she nearly fell over. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but I need this. The war is stressing everyone out, half the girls in the market are in love with him, and now I get to brag that my daughter finally bagged the untouchable heir."
"Okay, first of all, I didn't bag him like a wild boar. He actually cares about me."
"Oh, I know that," she said, smile softening. "He's a good man. Just… rigid. You'll balance him out. And he needs someone who can keep up with him—and keep him on his toes."
"I'm doing my best," I said. "Though, to be honest, sometimes I feel like I'm dragging him along by the collar."
"Drag away. As long as he doesn't resist too much."
I laughed again, softer this time. "He doesn't. Not really. He puts up the front, but what man can resist a woman like me?"
"Oh, trust me," she said with a grin, "if he had resisted much longer, I might have stepped in myself and had a little chat with him. You don't leave a woman like my daughter waiting."
I gave her a suspicious side-eye. "You say that like you think I wouldn't have just climbed him eventually."
She waved a hand dismissively. "Oh, I knew you would. But the poor man needed a warning. You may have the blood of a noble clan, but you are still a young woman, and you still have needs."
"I know, right?" I said with a shrug. "He always treats me like some pure flower that can't be touched, it's lovely and sweet, but sometimes I want to be seen as a woman, you know?"
"I do," Mom said with a gentle smile. "That was your father too, at first. Raised to be respectful, to never cross a line—but sometimes they don't realize we want them to cross it."
"Exactly!" I pointed a finger at her like she'd just nailed it. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the way Hiashi looks at me like I'm some precious treasure. But I also wouldn't mind if he pinned me to a wall every once in a while without needing a spreadsheet and formal approval."
She burst out laughing. "Maybe try tripping in front of him more often. Worked wonders on your father."
"Duly noted," I grinned. "Maybe next time I'll trip naked and see if that speeds things along."
"Oh gods, Yuki," she snorted, fanning her face. "You're terrible."
"I get it from you," I said proudly.
"You get your recklessness from me," she said with a touch more seriousness. "Your sense of humor too. But that heart of yours? That's all yours. And whatever you and Hiashi become together… just make sure you don't lose that."
The air grew a little quieter. I let the words settle for a moment, their weight softening something in my chest.
"I won't," I said. "I've spent too long fighting for who I am to give that up now—not even for Hiashi."
"Good," she said, reaching over to tuck a stray lock of hair behind my ear. "Because the clan may value obedience and tradition, but you? You remind them that passion has a place too."
"Is that your way of telling me to keep shaking things up?"
She winked. "Someone has to. And you shake with style."
We both laughed for a bit, just enjoying the joyful atmosphere, it was nice, it really was. I enjoyed this a great deal, this peace, this calm, it was precious.
My mother was a great woman, she wasn't strong, not in the sense that shinobi were strong. She had far more and stronger chakra than a civilian, she had the Byakugan, as all members of the Hyūga clan had.
But she was no Kunoichi, she had little formal training, she knew the basis of the gentle fist, the training stances. She had been the one guiding my tiny body through them when my father wasn't around.
Still, she had heart, soul, and a great love within her; she was a good person, a kind and gentle soul.
I knew I would hurt her… and everything I thought of it, it hurt.
"Thanks, mom, for talking with me like this. It reminds me why I'm doing this, what is at stake, what peace protects, and why it's important that we have peace, that wars stop, once and for all." I said, squeezing her hands.
She smiled at me, warm and proud. "That's a heavy burden for someone your age, Yuki… but it's one you've chosen to carry. And you're carrying it with your head held high. That's what makes me proud."
I looked down at our hands, fingers intertwined. Her skin was rough in places, worn from gardening, from household work, from holding and helping and raising. Not the hands of a warrior—but strong in a way that mattered more.
"You know I'm not doing this just for the clan," I said quietly. "Not even just for Konoha. I'm doing it for people like you. People who shouldn't have to fight just to live. For the girls who want love without being turned into pawns. For the children who deserve better than being born into old grudges."
"And for Hiashi?" she asked gently.
I nodded. "For him, for the clan, I do it for everyone. Every person who just wants to live, I want them all to be able to live in peace, that's my wish, my dream, what I fight for."
"That's a beautiful dream, and I'm sure, with how smart, strong, and hardworking you are, you will be able to achieve it." She said with a smile, "And you have guys like Hiashi to help."
I snorted lightly, "I doubt he will be able to keep up with me, but I might give him a chance."
"You do that, and while Hiashi might have his faults, so did your father; all it takes is a good woman to fill in those flaws, and no woman is better than you."
Days like these weren't too bad. Just sitting at home, having a good time.
"It has been fun, Mom, but I've got to get running," I said as I finally pulled myself away from the atmosphere.
"Oh? Not another mission, is it?" She asked worriedly.
"Nothing like that, it's one teammate, from my mission to River, he is about to leave the hospital, and I want to check in with him."
"Ahh, that Inuzuka kid, right? He is still there? He must have been badly hurt."
"Yeah, he messed up and got hurt, honestly, boys, I'm sure you get it." I said, rolling my eyes.
"Oh yes, I understand what they mean, sometimes they are just acting stupid, but still, it's sweet of you to worry about him."
"Well, after spending months out there with him, I can't just leave him alone, not to mention I got along well with his Ninken, so I've got to make sure at least Kuro is taken care of."
"Already picking up strays, are you? I always knew you had a big heart, you will be an amazing mother."
Her words were meant well, but they stabbed like a knife. "I only hope my children will agree with that."
"Planning on having multiple already? Good, I'm sure all your children will be adorable, and they will love you, if not, just let me know and I'll tell them what's what." She tried to reassure me.
"Thanks, Mom, I love you." I said, kissing her on the cheek before heading out."
"I love you, too, Yuki, and be careful." She hugged me tightly before letting me go.
