Back to the present time, the monsters had nearly reached up to the South-western side of Elyria Town, while many of the monsters were still following the other monsters. The people in the market area at that time were the first ones to notice some unusual movements in the nearby locations, but still were unaware of the situation.
One man had already noticed the monsters rampaging towards the market area, he quickly runs up to the center of that marketplace and shouts at the peak of his voice to warn everyone, "Everyone run away from this place as soon as possible! Something horrible is coming towards us!"
The public didn't believe in his words at first, some of the people started talking among themselves, to believe him or not.
"Do you really think he is telling the truth and not lying?" A woman whispers to her friend, standing at her right side.
"Who knows? It's not easy to believe a man!" Her friend replied.
A few men, who were the small age of that guy, kept looking at him for a while and then started laughing loudly, "Oi. Oi. Come on! It's not time for playing tricks and pranking people!"
Most of them were teasing and laughing at that man, until one of them really witnessed one of those monsters, with that ugly looking face, and saliva dropping down his mouth each second.
That large and enormous monster's skin was a mass of twisted, blackened flesh and hard shell making it look like their exoskeleton, its eyes were still glowing with an otherworldly energy even if they were standing in the dark at that time.
The man standing in front of that at the corner most shop in that market place near the forest area, seems to be very little in front of that monsters even if it was on his four legs, but not for long time, as the monster suddenly stands on his two legs like humans, the man couldn't even move a single bit because of shock, the monster standing tall at a height of 12 feet in front of that man. While the rest of the public were also standing still in their position, as soon as they had also noticed that monster.
The monster then suddenly bites off that man's head in no time, then grabs his body and tears it down as if he was a piece of paper. The streets were filled with the screams of terrified civilians, who ran for their lives as the Monsters closed in.
Unknown to most of the peoples, most of the monsters were already there, and had been hiding in the shadows. The monsters' blackened flesh seemed to absorb the light around them, making them almost invisible in the shadows.
The monsters attacked with ruthless efficiency, tearing people apart with their bare hands. They seemed to take pleasure in the carnage, their ugly faces contorted into grotesque grins as they feasted on the flesh of the living.
The monster's attack created a large chaos in the market, everyone running for their life. The nearby Military Soldiers were informed about the situation, they quickly ran up to the market area with guns, explosives.
They had quickly started attacking those monsters, but still it was nothing for them, even though the monsters had received injury from those attacks, the injuries quickly healed by themselves.
"What the hell is happening?" One soldier added.
"How the fuck are they even healing themselves?" Another soldier said.
One of the monsters had grabbed a soldier at the other side, the monster grabbed the man's neck with his right hand and raised him up and then without wasting a single second, it pierced through that man's chest and pulled out his heart and squeezed it completely and ate it up. Then he bites off that man's half face and throws the body away towards another soldier.
"Hey, motherfucker!" A soldier shouts at the monsters from the top of a two story building, he jumps off the building holding a sword in his right hand and then in no time he cuts down the monster.
The soldier was unsure if the monster had died or if he would quickly heal himself. But it didn't happen, the monster didn't heal himself meaning that he had died after his head was completely cut off.
"They die only after being beheaded?" The soldier thinks, "I must tell others about it."
He then quickly turns around to look for the other police officers, most of them had already died while fighting those monsters.
There were only dead bodies all around, decapitated human bodies were lying on the ground, there were many human hands and feet lying on the ground, and many half-eaten bodies were lying there. The whole market area had turned into a death valley, full of blood and bodies everywhere.
The soldier still didn't lose his hope, he ran towards the other soldiers to inform them about the way of killing those monsters. While running he came across another monster, standing tall at the height of 12 feet, looking at the soldier with sharp eyes.
Before attacking the man, the monster roars loudly and then attacks on him, the officer dodges him and runs off at a distance, climbs on a box lying near a shop, and from there he jumps on the monster and quickly cuts off his head. The monster lying on the ground, blood all over the floor. The officer's white shirt was also full of blood.
The soldier kept looking at the pool of blood all around that area, talking to himself, "What the hell is happening here?"
Without that soldier's sense, another monster was standing just a few inches behind him, about to attack him. But suddenly, another soldier came in front of him and shouted to his fellow mate to warn him, "Roger, behind you!"
As soon as the soldier turns back, the monster attacked him trying to grab him with his right hand, but before it could do so, the soldier jumps backward to get out it's reach.
