"Lights,camera Action!"
A low hum filled the room, actors running lines, assistants flipping through schedules, the director barking instructions in the distance. Alice sat on one of the folding chairs near the corner, her script balanced on her knees as she murmured her lines softly under her breath.
She was so focused she didn't notice the shadow falling over her until a voice, laced with mock sweetness, interrupted her.
"Hello, slut."
Alice froze mid-sentence. Slowly, she lifted her gaze to find Sophie standing there, arms crossed, that smirk stretched across her face like she'd just won something big.
Alice blinked once, twice. "I'm sorry… what?"
Sophie tilted her head, voice syrupy but loud enough for a few curious ears to catch. "Oh, don't play dumb. I know your secret now."
Alice stared at her blankly. "What secret?"
