The group soon grabs the knives from the kitchen as they wait for the signal of the rescue vehicle. Once the rescue vehicle starts playing loud noise the group rushes out of the kitchen, killing off the dead on their way
"Rex, watch out!"
Rex is nearly bitten by the infected but he got saved by Rose as she stabs the zombie on the head. The group soon arrives at the main entrance and they saw the military is currently fending off the infected
"All non infected survivors, you have 30 minutes to board this vehicle, we will wait for you all! Be safe!"
The loud noise attracted many infected and soon a hoard formed near the vehicle, the group struggled to reach the vehicle so they decided to fight
"Hey, if we all die here right now at least we dies together, right?!"
"YEAH!"

The group finally reaches the vehicles and they are soon taken inside the vehicle. Samantha rested for a while until the vehicle starts to move towards the safe zone.
On their way to the safe zone, they reach a dead end and they start to turn around to go to a different path but just then a plane crashes at their path and it attracted a huge hoard
"Ahh! The dead will be here soon!"
Emily worries
"Don't worry, the infected seems to be only attracted to smell and sound so we can sneak past them"
Su Yeon suggests
"It's too risky for that, we can always fight them off if necessary."
Nathan says to Su Yeon
Just then, the hoard finally appears and the military personnel immediately opens fire on the infected but due to the loud gunshots more zombies kept coming in
"Sir it's too much! We cannot handle this much!"
"You're right, private... I guess it's time to be heroes now, team Hawk! Grab your guns and charge in to the infected, we will die right now!"
"Hell yeah! For freedom!"
"Hey, you two take that van and go to the north Las Vegas airport, I'll be counting on you guys!"
The military personnels soon rush to the zombies with only their guns to buy time for Samantha and her group to escape
Samatha soon sprints towards the van and soon the group follows. Samantha sees that a soldier left his bag with a pistol and some ammo on the van and she grabs it and she beards the van.
But as all of the is boarding, the engine roars very loud and it attracts some infected from the crash site so they are unable to move forward.
Rex being the guy he was decides to jump from the van to confront the infected
"Rex! Don't do it!"
"It's fine, Rose... I love you!"
*Bite*
*Flesh squish*
*Blood spurts*
Rex is soon feasted by the infected in a terrifying way. His sacrifice enabled the van to start and for Samantha and her friends to drive
"Rex... I love you so much... Why did you leave me?"
"Hey Rose, it's okay... We're here for you...*
As Samantha is driving the van, the group starts to decide what will they do if they got to the safe zone
"Hey Su Yeon, what will you do after this?"
"I don't know, I guess I'll go back to Korea since the virus only spread here. What about you?"
"I guess me and Samantha will just stay at the safe zone."
Samantha soon stops at a nearby grocery store to grab some supplies
"Hey Jacob, go with me and let's get some supplies on that store"
"Alright Samantha, you got a gun, right?"
"Yes, I got a pistol from one of the soldier's bag so we will be safe."
The two of them enters the store and they immediately go to the section with the highest weapon choices.
"Hey Samantha, take this machete, it will help you in close combat."
"Thanks, Jacob..."
Samantha soon wraps some black electrical tape on the machetes handle for extra grip
"Hey, are we done now? If we are then let's head back, it's getting late too, let's probably find some place to stay for the night "
"Yeah, let's head back to the others now, let's go Samantha!"
The two of them soon head back to the van and Samantha drives until she finds a nearby hotel to stay, she arms herself for potential danger
"Hey everyone, let's stay here for a bit!"
"Okay, just park the van there since no infected are on the sight."
Nathan soon exits the van before everyone else and he helps Samantha to park the van. As the van is parked, all of them entered the hotel and they start killing the infected on the floor, once they settled in a room on the fifth floor, they start to relax a little bit. Rose is still sad about Rex's death so Emily comforts her while giving her assurance that Rex is a hero.
"Hey, let's eat now, I prepared some pasta!"
"Let's go!"
As the group is eating, they hear some knocking on the door so Nathan grabs Samantha's gun and went to investigate. He looks at the peephole of the door and he sees two children knocking on the door
"H-hello? Is anybody here? We smelled some pasta and we could ask for some, our mom left us in here earlier and we were starving..."
The first kid said to the door while waiting for a response. Once Nathan opens the door the kids rushed inside to ask for pasta
"Hey kids, where are your parents?"
Emily asked
"O-our p-parent left us earlier... We need food..."
The second kid replied to Emily and she is touched by their response that she fed them her spaghetti
"So who are you two exactly?"
Nathan asked to the kids and they start to introduce themselves
"My name is Jay and this is May, my twin sister, we are both 10 years old and we will be happy if you find our parents!"
"Y-yeah... Jay is my twin brother and we are stuck on that room without air conditioning or food... Thank you all for the food!"
"Alright everyone, time to sleep now, we still have some journey to go through, let's all go to the safe zone which is the North Las Vegas airport. Sweet dreams everyone!"
"Yeah, let's go to sleep now and tomorrow we will resume our journey, we will also need some weapons so let's fine some!"
And after that, everybody went to sleep after a grueling day. All of them only has a single goal in mind, SURVIVE.
