The arena ground shook slightly as four massive transport haulers locked the base of the Titan Impact Dynamometer into the reinforced granite bedrock of the Colosseum floor.
The colossal testing apparatus stood forty feet tall, constructed from hardened titanium alloys and equipped with sixteen military-grade hydraulic compression pistons designed to measure high-tier physical impact.
In the elevated speaker's box, Rector Malrec leaned over the railing, his face still pale from the exposure of the Academy's fraudulent records but his eyes gleaming with desperate defiance.
"Event Two will now commence under strict standardized testing conditions!" Malrec's voice echoed through the stadium speakers.
"The Titan Impact Dynamometer has been calibrated to measure physical strike force up to twenty thousand metric tons of direct pressure," the announcer explained.
