Not to mention—
The huge Buddha Statue summoned by Uchiha Haru was even larger than the massive Buddha Statue once summoned by First Hokage, Hashirama Senju.
This alone demonstrated Uchiha Haru's considerable strength. Even in the mastery of Wood Release, he surpassed Hashirama.
Although Uchiha Madara also possessed Wood Release techniques, his abilities stemmed mainly from the Hashirama cells implanted in his body. He couldn't wield the full range of Wood Release jutsu, especially the most advanced forms.
He was incapable of performing the Sage Technique, the Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands, or similar high-level Wood Release ninjutsu.
To execute this technique, it required not only one's chakra and mastery of Wood Release, but also deep knowledge of Sage Techniques—knowledge that Uchiha Madara lacked.
Therefore, he could not use the Sage Technique, Wood Release, or the True Several Thousand Hands.
For a moment, Uchiha Madara felt a bitter sadness.
He had planned most of his life carefully and finally succeeded in resurrecting himself.
He believed that with his own strength, combined with the power he had absorbed from Hashirama Senju, he should have been invincible in this world.
Yet, to his dismay, he found himself trapped in this current predicament from the very beginning.
Not only was he not invincible, he was at a disadvantage on every front.
And the opponent he faced was a young Uchiha—a junior fighting a senior, an unfair fight by all rights.
But despite this, Uchiha Madara could not secure victory and was losing ground.
The physical combat earlier and the current numerical battle were no different.
Even his ultimate Susanoo was no match for Uchiha Haru.
What other options did he have?
Without relying on his extensive experience, he would likely have been defeated long ago.
And now, he saw with his own eyes Uchiha Haru unleashing the ultimate technique of Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands, the Sage Technique that only Hashirama Senju could previously control.
Such a colossal Buddha Statue was something Madara had never even encountered during his lifetime battling Hashirama.
He felt a deep sadness and helplessness swell within his heart.
Only now did he truly understand why the masked man had summoned this force ahead of time.
Aoba paid no mind to Uchiha Madara's internal struggle.
He directly activated one of the Buddha Statue's immense palms and, locking eyes with Uchiha Ban, brought it down with brutal force.
The gigantic palm hovered above the battlefield, casting a massive shadow that blotted out both sun and sky.
The closer it descended, the heavier the oppressive force seemed to weigh on everyone beneath it.
Faced with such overwhelming oppression, the very thought of resistance diminished.
Instead, one's soul would instinctively bow before this sheer, crushing power.
Uchiha Madara frowned, fixating on the enormous palm descending toward him with fierce intent.
...
Meanwhile, the battle between Hatake Kakashi and the masked man had begun.
Kakashi had his own reasons for choosing this opponent.
He felt an inexplicable familiarity with the masked man.
Especially when the masked man used Kamui, Kakashi sensed a strange connection—as if there was a deep induction between them.
Besides, the masked man was immensely powerful.
In Konoha, apart from Tsunade and Jiraiya, Kakashi was the only one capable of confronting him.
For both professional duty and personal reasons, Kakashi had no choice but to become the masked man's adversary.
At this moment, the two stood facing each other.
What unsettled Kakashi was that although the masked man clearly wielded immense strength, he had not unleashed his full power in their fight.
Notably, the masked man never used the Samsara eye.
Everyone knew well the strength of the former Pain—the Deva Path controlled by Nagato.
Against him, Kakashi could only hold out briefly before being overwhelmed.
Yet now, facing the masked man with a Samsara eye, the masked man never resorted to that power to crush Kakashi.
As they fought, Kakashi also felt a strange déjà vu with the masked man's fighting style.
He felt he knew this person—but could not place who.
Kakashi thrust Raikiri fiercely toward the masked man.
But the masked man did not dodge or block. Instead, Kakashi's Raikiri passed straight through his body.
Just like before, Kakashi's Raikiri completely phased through him without causing damage.
This was the power of Kamui.
As long as the masked man had Kamui, he was essentially invincible.
Kamui was nearly a perfect defense.
Kakashi's Raikiri had failed, and the masked man seized the moment to kick Kakashi to the ground.
However, just as the masked man prepared to press his attack, a sudden burst of speed came from the side.
A ninja with a watermelon-shaped head, clad in a tight green ninja suit, delivered a fierce kick to the masked man.
The strike was lightning-fast and powerful.
The masked man barely had time to dodge, and was forced to use Kamui again.
The kick passed through him once more.
The watermelon-headed ninja landed firmly in front of Kakashi, blocking the masked man's path of attack.
"Kakashi, it's my turn to save you this time!" the ninja declared fiercely.
The ninja turned, flashing Kakashi a thumbs-up with shining white teeth.
Who else could it be but Might Guy?
Kakashi couldn't help but shake his head at Might Guy's audacity.
Guy was always so thick-skinned.
Normally that might be a problem, but now, facing a formidable foe, it was an asset.
Fortunately, Might Guy had arrived, or Kakashi would have been defeated already.
Kakashi got to his feet and joined Might Guy's side.
Once fierce rivals who constantly competed, today they fought as comrades against a common enemy.
The masked man eyed Kakashi and Might Guy and suddenly laughed.
"You… do you really think you can compare with me?"
"It's useless. You can't even harm me!"
He casually put his hands behind his back, refusing to defend himself.
He let Might Guy and Kakashi attack at will.
Kakashi and Might Guy exchanged a glance and frowned.
They fully understood how impenetrable the masked man's Kamui was.
But even so, they had to fight together and exhaust every possible means to defeat him.
Kakashi summoned his Raikiri.
Might Guy, relying on his peak physical skills, charged at the masked man.
One punch, one kick, one Raikiri.
Kakashi and Might Guy unleashed everything without holding back.
But it was all futile.
The masked man's Kamui was simply too invincible.
Soon, neither of them could land a hit and they grew exhausted.
The masked man laughed again. "I told you long ago, you will never be my match!"
"It's better to give up now…"
Still, Kakashi and Might Guy's expressions remained determined.
They nodded silently to each other.
Then Might Guy lunged forward again.
Kakashi stayed back, likely drained from his prior efforts.
Guy delivered a hard kick.
But the masked man effortlessly dodged with Kamui once more.
At that moment, Kakashi emerged from the shadows.
He held a Rasengan in his hand and smashed it fiercely toward the masked man.
The masked man sneered.
He had seen countless experiments of such attacks before and knew they were useless.
He couldn't fathom why Kakashi and Might Guy persisted in such foolish efforts.
Truly, it was stupidity.
The attack would cause no harm.
What he didn't realize was that there were now two Kakashis on the battlefield.
Besides the one in front, seemingly resting, another Kakashi had just rushed out of the darkness.
The Rasengan struck the masked man hard, just as before.
The Rasengan passed straight through the masked man's body.
Impatient with the game, the masked man decided to counterattack.
As the Kakashi emerging from the dark passed through the masked man's body, the masked man spun around, drawing a kunai and stabbing at him.
But at this moment, the Rasengan Kakashi had appeared to vanish—the one seen previously reappeared behind the masked man.
Suddenly, the masked man felt an overwhelming sense of danger.
He hurried to use Kamui to avoid the attack, but it was too late.
Boom!
With a deafening explosion, the Rasengan struck the masked man's back with crushing force.
He was thrown forward and crashed onto the ground.
Simultaneously, the Kakashi holding the Rasengan was shattered and vanished.
The Kakashi resting in front suddenly gasped for breath, exhausted.
The masked man's Kamui was a famous technique.
Everyone knew it, and Kakashi certainly understood it too.
Knowing this battle was inevitable, Kakashi had come fully prepared.
From the start of the fight with the masked man, to Might Guy's sudden arrival, to deploying a clone first and then appearing unexpectedly—
All of this was a trap Kakashi had set.
The trap unfolded far more smoothly than even Kakashi had hoped.
What puzzled him most was why the masked man never used the power of the Rinnegan Eye when they first clashed.
The Rinnegan Eye was one of the world's most unparalleled powers.
If the masked man had used it, Kakashi would have faced an even greater challenge
