Seeing that it would take too long to walk, Logan decided to hire a carriage. In this area, such rental-driven carriages were quite common. It wasn't anything luxurious or high-end, but it was good enough for the journey. Many people preferred riding horses as well, but Logan didn't have a ride of his own yet.
After getting into the carriage, it began its journey toward the forest. As it moved, Logan thought to himself, "I need to arrange a horse by tomorrow at the latest."
Time passed slowly, and the carriage picked up speed along the way. After about an hour, it finally came to a stop. Logan stepped down and handed the coachman his fare. He was about to enter the forest when a thought suddenly struck him—he didn't have a ride. How would he get back?
He turned around to call the coachman back, but the man was already far ahead. Even if Logan shouted, it was unlikely the coachman could hear him over the sound of the horse's hooves.
