Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2:POWER GAME.

Sir she has left.... WHAT...

Lucas's anger simmered as he barked orders at his men. "Find her. I want to know where she is, every step she's taken. I don't care what it takes." His men nodded, scrambling to comply.

Just as they were about to leave, Lucas's phone rang. He answered, his voice cold. "What?"

"Boss, we have a situation," a gravelly voice said on the other end. "The Rivero family is making moves. They're trying to take control of the docks."

Lucas's grip on the phone tightened. "I'll handle it. Get everyone ready."

He hung up, his mind racing. The Rivero family was a rival mafia clan, always looking for ways to expand their territory. Lucas knew he had to act fast to protect his interests.

As he turned to leave, he spotted one of his men, Marco, hovering nervously. "What is it?" Lucas asked.

"It's about Sophie, boss. We found her...at a club downtown."

Lucas's expression darkened. "Bring her to me. Now."

The Rivero family was a powerful mafia clan, known for their ruthless tactics and cunning business sense. At the helm of the family was Don Rivero, a man in his late 50s with a reputation for being merciless. His wife, Maria, was a beauty in her younger days, now a calculating matriarch who pulled the strings from behind the scenes.

Their children were being groomed to take over the family business. Alexandra, the eldest son, was ambitious and hot-headed, often clashing with his father's more measured approach. Sofia, their daughter, was intelligent and manipulative, using her charm to get what she wanted.

The youngest son, Mateo, was different. He was quiet and observant, often finding himself caught between loyalty to his family and his own moral compass.

As tensions between the Rivero family and Lucas's organization escalated, the children found themselves drawn into the conflict. Alexandra saw an opportunity to prove himself, Sofia plotted to gain power, and Mateo struggled with the consequences of their actions..

Lucas walked into his penthouse apartment, shedding his jacket as he made his way to the bar. He poured himself a drink, feeling the weight of the day lifting off his shoulders. As he took a sip, his phone buzzed. "Bring me everything you've got on Sophie," he told his associate over the line.

Minutes later, his doorbell rang. Lucas answered, and his associate handed him a folder filled with photos, location reports, and personal details about Sophie. Lucas's eyes scanned the documents, his grip on the folder tightening.

"You're quite the elusive one, Sophie," he murmured, a plane forming in his mind. Lucas's eyes lingered on the photos of Sophie, her smile captivating him. He couldn't help but feel drawn to her, despite the danger she posed. As he delved deeper into her past, he discovered a complex web of secrets and lies.

Sophie's family had been embroiled in a bitter feud with a rival clan for years. Her parents had been killed in a brutal attack, and she had been forced to flee for her life. Lucas's men had uncovered whispers of a hidden inheritance, one that could tip the balance of power in the city.

As Lucas read on, he realized Sophie was more than just a pretty face. She was a pawn in a much larger game, one that threatened to destroy everything he had built. He knew he had to tread carefully, to keep her close while uncovering the truth.

The more Lucas learned, the more he became entangled in Sophie's world. He found himself questioning his motives, wondering if his pursuit of her was driven by desire or duty. The lines between loyalty and obsession began to blur.

Suddenly, Lucas's phone rang, shattering the silence. "Boss, we've got a problem," his associate said, voice laced with urgency. "The Rivero family is moving in. They're going to make a play for Sophie."

Lucas's grip on the folder tightened. He knew he had to act fast, to protect Sophie and his own interests. But as he looked at her photo, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was walking into a trap.
