Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The Entity

The entity's gaze swept over us, its black eyes seeming to bore into our very souls. I felt a shiver run down my spine as it regarded us with an unblinking stare.

Ted seemed entranced, his eyes fixed on the entity with a mixture of fascination and reverence. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" he whispered, his voice full of awe.

Ethan's grip on my arm tightened, his eyes locked on the entity with a mixture of wariness and curiosity. "What is it?" he asked, his voice low and cautious.

The entity didn't seem to respond, but instead began to move towards us with a slow, deliberate pace. Its movements were fluid and almost ethereal, as if it were gliding across the floor rather than walking.

As it drew closer, I could feel a strange energy emanating from it. It was like nothing I had ever experienced before - a cold, dark power that seemed to seep into my very bones.

Suddenly, the entity stopped in front of us, its gaze fixed on Ethan. For a moment, it seemed to regard him with an unblinking stare, and then it spoke.

"I have been waiting," it said, its voice low and resonant. "I have been waiting for a very long time."

Ethan's eyes widened in surprise, and I felt a surge of fear. What did the entity mean? And what did it want with us?

The entity's gaze shifted to me, and I felt a chill run down my spine. "You," it said, its voice dripping with an otherworldly intensity. "You have a role to play in this."

I shook my head, feeling a sense of confusion and fear. "What role?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

The entity's gaze seemed to bore into my soul, and for a moment, I felt like I was staring into the very abyss itself. "You will see," it said, its voice low and mysterious. "You will see soon enough."

As the entity's words hung in the air, I felt a sense of trepidation. What did it mean? And what lay ahead for us?
