The top mafia boss keep its world wide mafia empire together by many means. As he escaped a death sentence of justice decades ago, he knew, that in order to survive he need an insurances. So in his grand paranoia he make the dumbest idea, to create a kill switch on his empire. To make sure that if he go down, every of his minions, supporters and all he managed to bribe or do illegal trade, will go down with him.
As he got exposed for who he is, he is losing its grip and mind, as number of people who want him gone, expanding by every day. No amount of bluffing can save him now. Whats more, he really screw his gamble about using weapons of mass destruction, if his evil den of a blood castle got raided by good guys. That threat was clearly an international crime, so the world police already build up a several plans and initiatives to take down him and his empire. One of them is a big fatty reward for delivering that list to justice. Its so big that they established for it a pay plan.

Its a very detailed record of every crime his mafia committed. Complete list of names, events, cargo, handed out money, used methods and especially the photo evidence of the act and/or more. All those corrupted politicians, official and such, who accept the blood stained money from criminals to make them subtle to BBB evil bidding; will hit the rock bottom, with no where to run away, if this go public. Its an ultimate collar for all minions and supporters to not pursue they idea to betrayal him.
Yet...
Someone from his minions, copied the kill switch list, make run with it in order to collect the reward and got rich while wiping out that mafia empire from earth. It looked like the entire mafia was after that list for they own reasons. It was a biggest man hunt in current history, no holding back. Crazier that any spy action movies in cinema: Exploding cars, trains, airplanes. Spies, assassins, cops, mercenaries, heroes, villains, tanks and helicopters. The amount of ammunition used, excel what armies will use during training excises. It was a multi team battle royal. A weekend war, where lot of mafia members screamed for last time.
But during last ditch effort the data disk received an unlucky hit and blow up in front of everybody. As the grand prize turn into a dust the baddies withdraw into a shadow, and BBB swung the incident under carpet by its lies, calling it a solved terrorist attack, dropping the curtain.
But, someone, somewhere, somehow... lied… a big time.
Well, the expert from Interpol will probably try to patch the charcoal pieces together, to get at last something from it.
He, he... There is the kicker: Some people says, that what was destroyed was a decoy and the good side already have it, but keep it in secret. So all the mafia members all across of the world had it counted, as the cops can now launch a biggest cleanup of the house. They will try to run, but there is nowhere to hide anymore. Big Bad Boss counted that his empire is to big to fall but now the good guys shall have a means to literally steal the minions from hiss oppressive grasp, by offering them a golden bridge of retreat. Or redemption for every victim he and his empire managed to criminalize.
And the strawberry on top of the cake, is? That can extend to literally stealing the card of weapons of mass destruction, directly from BBB hand. A world in peace, and a prison cell for top mafia boss in current history.
