Chapter 69: Honest Conversation
After hearing that, Quang Huy was even more surprised:
"You don't trust me that much?"
"I don't want to use birth control pills anymore. They're not good for me."
Quang Huy stayed silent for a moment, then nodded:
" Got it. If you don't want to, just tell me directly. Don't go off crying by yourself like this."
Then he lifted Huong Tra's chin and kissed her. He also took out his phone and snapped a selfie of the two of them sitting by the lake. Even though Huong Tra had just been crying and her hair was a bit greasy and less pretty than usual, Quang Huy still posted the photo on social media, tagged her, and wrote the caption:
"Just dating, like everyone else."
On the way back from the lake, Quang Huy stopped by the pharmacy to buy some boxes of condoms.
Suddenly, Huong Tra felt like even autumn had warm sunshine.
That evening, Quang Huy took Huong Tra back to his room and said:
"Next time, let's do it in my room. My neighbors are all guys, so it'll stir up less gossip. You also won't have to hold back your moans."
Huong Tra happily nodded.
Quang Huy then locked the door, turned off the lights, and they had another round.
Afterward, while lying in Quang Huy's arms, Huong Tra whispered:
"Huy... You come home from work later than me. How about you come to my place for dinner next time? That way you won't have to cook."
Quang Huy thought for a bit, then replied:
"Your room is still set up for your online shop, it's cramped. Plus, you're going to school, running your shop, and still have to take care of me—will that be too much?"
Huong Tra shook her head:
"It's just one more mouth to feed. I already cook for Kieu Ly anyway."
Quang Huy kissed her hair and said:
"Then I'll give you a spare key to my place. In the mornings, I'll stop by the market to buy groceries and put them in the fridge before going to work. On days you're free, come to my room to cook. If you're busy, just make rice—I'll grab takeout on the way back and we'll eat together."
Huong Tra nodded sweetly, then dozed off for a bit.
The next morning, she got up early and returned to her room. Before she left, Quang Huy gave her a spare key to his apartment. Quang Huy also woke up early to go grocery shopping.
When he got back home with the groceries, Duc and Nghia were just wheeling their bikes out to head to class. Seeing Quang Huy, Duc immediately complained:
" Huy bro, next time whatever you're doing, keep it down. We poor virgins are suffering over here."
Quang Huy laughed when he heard that:
"You guys don't have girlfriends so you're just jealous of me, huh? Go get one—it's great, winter's coming."
Nghia heard that and just chuckled quietly.
