Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: “Waves of Destiny”

📜 Previously on Reincarnated Prince of Kaligarh:

Aryan's elite Wolf Riders reclaim another district in a flawless operation. Now, he turns his attention to Kaligarh's coastline to build a powerful navy—his eyes set on a strategic port city and the future of sea warfare.

SCENE 1 – ROYAL CARRIAGE ON THE COASTAL ROAD

The sun blazes above a winding coastal road. Aryan sits inside an elegant black-and-gold royal carriage. With him—Kaamaya, Meena, and Reva. Outside, over a hundred elite guards ride in formation. The Wolf Riders silently patrol the dunes around them, their presence like shadows in motion.

KAAMAYA (leaning close)

Long trip, hmm? Could use a kiss to pass the time.

ARYAN (sliding further away)

We've discussed personal boundaries, Kaamaya.

MEENA (grabbing his other arm)

We're in a closed space. It's not harassment—it's destiny.

REVA (rolling her eyes but holding his hand)

He's blushing. The king of Kaligarh is blushing.

ARYAN (to the window, desperate)

Ashvak! Ride faster!

ASHVAK (stoic from horseback)

The horses fear for their lives, my king.

The girls burst into laughter. Aryan sinks into his seat, muttering.

ARYAN (to himself)

Why did I bring all three?

SCENE 2 – ARRIVAL AT THE PORT CITY: CHANDRAPURA

Massive docks. Rows of warehouses. The salty wind. Citizens cheer as Aryan's banner appears on the horizon.

Waiting at the gates is Engineer Lakshya, a thin man with round spectacles and hands stained with ink and grease.

LAKSHYA (excitedly bowing)

Your Majesty! It's ready! The masterpiece! The Beast of the Sea!

He rushes them through the crowded dock toward the inner harbor.

SCENE 3 – THE BEAST OF THE SEA

Docked in a private bay is an enormous black warship unlike anything seen in the subcontinent.

Double-layered hull

Cannon mounts on the side

Reinforced sails for speed and stealth

Ram-point carved like a tiger's jaw

CITIZENS & GUARDS (murmuring)

Where did this design come from? This isn't Indian… this is something else.

ARYAN (internally, with a small smile)

'Inspired by a video game's warship… Sorry, unknown 21st-century dev. Your design wins again.'

KAAMAYA (awed)

This ship could take down ten pirate fleets.

REVA (serious)

Or dominate the eastern trade.

MEENA (grinning)

We'll name her?

ARYAN

Yes. The Crescent Fang.

The crew bows. Lakshya smiles like a child at a festival.

SCENE 4 – ARYAN IN DISGUISE [CHANDRAPURA STREETS – EVENING]

Aryan strolls through the bustling port dressed as a merchant. His face is shadowed by a hood. Two Wolf Riders trail at a distance.

He passes by shops, shipbuilders, and fishermen's stalls.

Suddenly, shouting draws his attention. A crowd cheers near the docks.

FISHERMAN (excitedly)

They've done it! They caught pirates! Real pirates!

Five young men haul in a small battered pirate vessel, tied with ropes. They grin proudly.

VILLAGER

They're sons of the sea! Brave lads!

Aryan watches with narrowed eyes.

ARYAN (softly to himself)

Hmm. Courage, sea sense, unity… my first naval unit, found by accident.

He steps forward.

ARYAN (aloud, smiling)

Which of you is the captain?

ONE YOUNG MAN (nervously)

M-my name is Dilsher. We don't really… have a captain. We just fought back.

ARYAN

Then you're ready. Come to the fortress at dawn. Kaligarh has need for men like you.

They bow, confused but excited.
