Third person pov:
"Hey," Lucien kissed her cheek, brushing his thumb over her palm, "It's me, love," He forced a small smile, "You scared me half to death, you know that?"
Doctors had just checked her and asked him not to talk much about the past
She didn't blink, didn't even flinch. Her eyes just moved slightly, following a patch of light on the ceiling. They were empty. Distant.
Jai stood at the foot of the bed, waiting for Giana to look at him and recognize his face.
Lucien was now brushing his hand over her hair, "You're safe now, Giana. I'm here… we all are…"
Still nothing.
Lucien wanted to shake her when a nurse appeared at the door, "Sir. The doctor would like to see you. Both of you."
Lucien hesitated, but the nurse assured him with a smile, "I'll stay with her."
He looked back one last time before following Jai out of the room.
